Let's say my domain is " domain.com "

[ domain com ]

After removing a dot between domain and com

And I search on Google

If my domain isn't in 1st or 2nd place, I think I got a penalty

Is this method still in use?

If it's a live website, then did the traffic go down? you're not always going to show no.1 for your brand keyword unless your brand name is somewhat obscure.

If there are other companies with the same name and are more recognized, or have more links then they will show up first.

Also, if your brand name is generic e.g. 'computer service' then there is absolutely no way you'll show up in the top positions.

Otherwise, if it's a domain you're vetting then look at anchors, links, archive and hosting history to see if it had a penalty or was abused in the past.

Yes, it works but I would give it more room. It's more like 2 pages, not just 2 spots.

Can you use it for specific website?

It's on page 6. My website
Is there a way to recover?

I'm sorry I'm not used to English.

just check if the site rank or not. There are several filters. Easy to see like 4 pages filter and others.

Please.
Can you teach me?
You have to analyze content of your competitors to see what works.

Then improve your existing content to match that.

Then improve on it further to be even better.

No, if your domain doesn't appear in the top two search results on Google, it doesn't mean you have a penalty; search rankings are influenced by many factors beyond just your domain name.
