Google September 2023 Update - 50% Traffic lose

Today my traffic dropped 50%. Especially when almost all of our image traffic is gone and replaced by AI-generated nonsense.

You should keep off from using auto-generated AI featured images.

I have noticed the same with a ton of news articles - all bring replace by low quality AI junk. Google just isn't keeping up with banning this rubbish.

Look I don't mind AI content when done correctly but some of it is literally worse than the old content spinners...

Wow. And I was having the impression that google has started going after ai content.

I never use AI-images. This situation is very sad and worrying.

Some of those ai images are pretty impressive though.

The drop continues. The rankings of nearly 1000 articles, all original, have changed significantly. It was a site for exactly 1 year. I hope this fluctuation is temporary.

You will need to pay special attention to optimizing your pictures. You need to look out for copyright-free images which are not AI- managed.

That's the only way you can stay ahead of the curve.
