Is WPML as good as they say?

Hello,

I am looking to add multilingual plugin to my WordPress site and I am looking to WPML with Yoast SEO Premium, has anyone tried WPML or this plugin combination? Is WPML as good as they say?

WPML is too heavy and focused on the multilingual part. It's more like a multilingual platform. If you want a serious multilingual project with each lang independent on its own. Choose WPML.

If you simply want a site with translated pages in other langs, you should choose a much more lightweight and easy-to-use plugin, like TranslatePress.

Just wondering is there any cons when using WPML in your opinion? Like page speed or conflict with Yoast Premium or setting it up on Google Search Console?

Suggested plugins performance-wise are either TranslatePress or Polylang. The only plugin to avoid is WPML.

Personally I prefer Polylang, which is free, but it's a mater of taste of course.
