Vps:

why not shared hosting? you dont have to deal with the server and updating the version of your panel and such..

Yes. Your registrar will give you an interface to update your DNS records so you can point the A record to your vps.

I prefer VPS because I know it's much faster and safer than hosting (that's what I read) so I wouldn't like to spend work changing providers and such, as it's the first time I'm going to do this I want everything to go as well as possible and without so many inconveniences

Well, in order not to belittle the site, I will say that it is a landing page with my portfolio, work samples etc., it has animations in bootstrap, etc. but yes, only HTML, CSS, bootstrap and js for forms
