How do you run windows programs on a Mac?

If I get a mac computer, can i still run programs that are being sold here on BHW? since most of em only run on windows...

You can use Crossover to run Windows applications natively on the Mac, though not every program will work.

The other two options that I know of are Parallels and VMWare which allow you to install Windows on your Mac.

The latest VMWare release is very stable and runs great.

get sun virtualbox, Idk if it is mac supported and install windows through it, you can simultaneously run any os with it

Download a copy of crossover for mac - I use the linux version which I believe is very similar and it acts as a front end to wine. I mean for instance I can install Office 2007 in Linux using Crossover which I think is pretty cool. I'm sure people can do it without needing crossover but it just makes it a less than 5 minute job, you don't need to put things in the correct path's and install the correct libraries etc etc.

TPB I believe has like a version 5.0 or something I can't remember off the top of my head of Crossover. Oh and Crossover is Wine's commercial App so it's made by the people who really know what they're doing

I use Virtual Box (a virtual machine software) and I have both XP and 7 installed (virtualized), it works great and it's free and open source.
