Been doing IM a few months and I personally feel I got more accuracy and efficiency from a combination of Moz and Majestic than either of those tools.

I don't know why every says ahrefs has best bl db. Majestic actually produced a way better descriptive analysis in my experience.

What is everyone else's experience? Both Semrush and Ahrefs seem overrated to me, and overpriced even though price wans't really a consideration here

The Majestic site explorer is a powerful SEO tool

Ahrefs is overrated IMO, SEMRush is amazing when it comes to keyword research. Recently SEMRush got really good at backlinks, too.

It depends on your expectation dude, if you look at them as a magic lamp, yea, they're overrated without a doubt. But if you use them as a SEO tool then I think that they exceed your expectations. You don't need to fall into their sales pitches even if it seems too good to be true; it's also something that anybody else is doing in the market, it's a business.

Also, in terms of price, yes I think that they're expensive, especially for newbies but I believe that they didn't create their services for newbies so they're ok with that! ;)

for me, both are expensive, especially for the newbies.
You don't have a long period of try it.. 1-2 months
They need to review the price strategy.

Both are expensive and overrated. Both have complicated interface. Ahrefs has terrible payment system. I don't use both.

Ahrefs is definitely overcharging
I've moved onto semrush and no complaints at all
The KD score is much more sensitive imo

Yeah I will agree with this, that SEMRush kw tools are definitely the area where it shines compared to the other three SEO suites. That's something that i've observed. That being said...

Been doing tonnes of research - making most of legit free trials on loads of tools and spending dough. After all this though, personally I feel SEMRush's kw features still don't justify the exorbitant pricing when looking at weighted average of features and accuracies of alternatives. Furthermore I have considered the matter of KW research specifically too, and feel that a combination of Jaxxy and SpyFu were far more elaborate for kw research and competitor kw research than what is offered by SEMRush, although being almost enitrely stand alone kw research tools, that may not be an enitrely fair comparison here.

At the end of the day, an SEO tool should be a part of your everyday work. Comfort matters, and your personal view and budget for the tool matters.
If you don't trust a certain tool, it doesn't matter whether it has the most accurate data, because you'll spend hours verifying everything that you see there.

Take your top 2 or 3 and compare them doing the same keyword research, or against a site you have the real data from and go from there.

The comparison between all of the SEO tools never ends, and you'll be better going with the one you like the most.

ahrefs credit score is such a ridiculous system. i plan to switch to semrush next month, anyone here tried mangools? how do you say about it?

Newb friendly (comparable to SEO powersuite). Other than that, very middle of the road is all I can say. Not like Moz, Majestic, semrush or ahrefs imho.

These are pricy tools and people tend to over exaggerate in order to compensate for all the money they spend on them. It's their only way to truly justify the cost for them, even if they don't realize they are doing it. I think both tools are good, but sem>ahrefs, especially price-wise.

Ahrefs and Moz is overrated IMO, I moved to SEMRush it is amazing to use

Used all three for years. Started with Majestic maybe 8-9 years ago. Moved to Ahrefs, then cancelled my account when they switched to credits. Now I'm happy with Semrush for now. Moz has always been overrated imo. They target absolutely newbies and SMBs who have no idea what they're doing through content marketing. They're great at inbound sales.

I agree, but everyone has their own perspective. They choose the tools that suit their needs and goals. In my concern Semrush and Ahrefs, which are the best options for the efficiency and accuracy even it is overpriced.
