I found multiple tutorials for this just by a simple Google search:

First you install the theme then you activate the theme, both inside the wordpress admin panel for your website.

1. Install and activate the GeneratePress theme via your WordPress dashboard.
2. Customize its appearance through "Appearance" > "Customize" in your dashboard.
3. For a simple blog, set your homepage display to "Your latest posts" and start publishing!
