I do plan on doing so moving forward but for the first week I just decided to give it a shot as is.

Now I'm going to make different campaigns for each country and each with different ad titles etc..

You could try adding a Google Tag and track submits as conversions. Then create a campaign optimizing for submits and not pure CPC, see how that plays out. Goodluck!

Hey mate, I was looking into creating the tag and thats all well and done on the google ads side of things. However when it comes to adding the google tag code to my funnel i'm having a it of trouble...

Instead of using my own website im using a funnel software called Clickera for my landing page and they do not have an option where i can add my own HTML...

I will reach out to their support and see wha they suggest.

No problem. I wouldn't know how that works with a funnel like that, but if you choose to make and host your own sites like for example Wordpress (orr any CMS), it's quite easy.

Yeah, the VPN thing is way overdone to the point where it is a meme now. Most people who want one have one, and those who don't can easily get them. All they really do is slow down your internet connection, funnel all your activity through a single point so ((they)) can more easily track you, and on top of that they expect you to pay for it.

Update September 9th

Funnel builder scrapped.

New self hosted landing page created on WordPress with elementor.

New google ads max performance campaign created but not launched just yet as finalizing the landing page.

Creating a SMTP for wordpress to help increase inbox deliverability.

As suggested I much prefer a self hosted landing page as its much easier and detailed to track all round.

Yes I agree but when you target specific niche markets that use it for other reasons I think there is still a possibility for getting good traffic and affiliate sales.

Little update:

Google ads are running once again.

I have opted out of sending the users to a email form and instead i'm directly linking to my landing page.

I have set up a pop up email form instead should any visitors decide to opt in (incentivised CTA with a discount)

Next step... wait evaluate and optimise.​

Update September 12th

Old landing page scrapped. Spent upwards of $20 on ads with an avg of $.06c per click and not a single conversion or email submission.

New landing page crated with the plug-in WPFunnels and updated with new call to actions etc.. focusing mainly on lead generation with email.

Auto responser set up for follow up email submits with the "welcome offer discount"

Im new to this whole affiliate marketing thing but i've been doing research about it for years just never had the capital to try it with paid ads and giving it a shot for the first time so go easy on me.. ahaha

I think i'm headed in the right direction through trial and error, Might look into native advertisements soon also.

Any suggestions for optimising a google campaign? Im currently trying to use performance max, however this need to improve its targeting via a "campaign goal" this was hard to track to optimise for conversions previously as i was linking to the affiliate product, now since i'm collecting emails it should be a little bit easier to track and optimise for conversions.

As my experience i would suggest to not to fall on this niche. Instead go for finance related like credit score checker, loan eligibility checker etc.
PS: All major tier 1 countries are in somewhat into financial crisis so better focus on finance related niche.

Thanks for your insight on this. The main reason im trying my hand at the vpn service is because its offering a great CPA of $50 which is great for me.

If you have any suggestions for affiliate networks that allow for high ticket commissions I'm all eyes and all ears.

Also I believe that ads for such niches may be exponentially higher... am I right in thinking so?

BIG UPDATE September 14th

As suggested by many other members following my thread and from my own personal experience thus far I have decided that I will be changing the offers I will be promoting.

In doing so I have signed up for two new affiliate programs and networks.

The main one i'm most happy with is the fact that I was able to join the Maxbounty Network (has always been my no.1 to join since 2018) and finally managed to get in

Secondly I have also signed up for an affiliate program related to the IPTV niche.

Now that I will be making use of these networks instead, I presume it would still be in my best interest to use a landing page that then directs the users to an offer page instead of direct linking correct?
