yes, finally my money has arrived at my paypal account and ill be able to get hostgator account!

I want to start making micro niche sites, but after following this forum for a while, i don't quite get the difference between a micro niche blog and micro niche site. Of course i understand the one is a blog (probably using wordpress indeed) and the other one your own site. But why would you want to go through the trouble (not that it is that big of a trouble, i know my html and some basic php), if a platform like wordpress exists. Is the linkbuilding a whole lot different from wordpress (next to backlinking comments)? Do blogs get penalty for being a blog?

The reason i am asking this is because intuitively I immediately thought of wordpress when thinking about this micro niche thing, but then I see a lot of people making their own sites with xsitepro etc. What are the advantages of this?

Thanks for any help in advance!

(yes i posted this post already in someones thread, but it didn't get any attention there so thats the reason for this seperate thread.)

Personally I have always used Xsite pro for my micro niche sites.
With Xsite you can get the layout just right and easily for these type of sites.

I use wordpress for autoblogging.

Ok thanks for your response, but isn't wordpress with the right plugins (all in one seo etc) better for SEO than a simple html xsitepro site? Anyone any other ideas? Thanks!

Wordpress is the best for autoblogs.
XsitePro is the best for having a site that looks professional and also make it very fast + publish it in a few seconds.
I am talking from my own experience because i am with hostgator and i use both:
- wordpress for my autoblogs
- xsitepro for my sites (which i don't update at all)
Wordpress is the best if you want to be indexed fast (with autoblogs) but it doesn't look that professional. Maybe it will if you find a good theme because i use the basic theme :) (too lazy to find a nice looking one)

thanks for your response, so to summarize the only advantage of using xsitepro is that it is faster in publishing and it looks better more easily?

I guess wordpress is easy to have it look profesionall. Is it bad for SEO when I use a free wordpress theme?

As it looks like now, wordpress seems better to me since it can be easily updated and is indexed faster. Am I overseeing some advantages of xsitepro sites, anyone?

XSitePro addresses the use of silos and lsi (latent semantic indexing)
which was/is supposed to be big with SEO. Many blogs can end up
having duplicate content if you're not careful. Why not go with BOTH
and see what you results are (if you have both).

The bad thing of xSitepro is lack of free theme.
You will struggle with this soon.
