Is it worth moving domains from Google Domains to Wordpress?

I've seen dozens of people were moving their domains to Wordpress from Google Domains. Squarespace claims to hold the reg prices the same for the first year (as I saw, no source) so why do these people moving there domain especially to Wordpress?

I did see the promotion where if you do move your domain you will get 1 year of free reg

It's worth it in my opinion, you get a free year ontop.
If you don't like it, once the domain is unlocked, transfer back out
so that's a 2 year for 1 kind of deal.

Wow thank you I wasn't aware of the campaign. Now it's clear it really does worth transferring the domains
