Monetising subreddit?

any good ideas for monetising a subreddit? i already tried affiliate marketing but had a very low conversion. My sub is social media related SFW with 2k subscribers, I was thinking about creating a saas related to my sub but dont want to base my business on API's that could stop working over night.

Is it possible to make money from a small SFW sub or is the money in NSFW niches

Anything is possible mate. As long as you have a very targeting audience or your offer is very relevant to them.

2,000 subscribers is a very small amount of reddit and will be difficult to monetize. If you were already able to get ANY conversions off 2k subs, you should consider a success and simply work on growing the subreddit more with quality content.

SFW niches make lots of money, so just focus on finding a solution that will help your audience in their day to day activities.

SaaS is cool but maybe there's another service you can offer that is based on manual labor, and you could outsource to VA's. Just an example of a different angle.

Problem is likely not the affiliates, your sub is super small, have to grow it a lot before you start to see any results.

Monetization on reddit is a bit tricky as the platform is pretty strict about it but you can create a website related to your subreddit and pin a post with a link to it on your subreddit.

The platform itself isn't strict - they allow 1 promo post per 10 regular.. it's the mods who are anti any ads.. the mods are the fucktards.
