Charging for backlinks from my site

I am looking for guidance on what to charge for backlinks from my personal/business finance blog. I don't sell any products I just write about financial topics. I have a DR of 30 and monthly traffic of 2k from google, and approx. 500 from pinterest. Website is about 1.5 years old with 99% of growth in the last 6 months.

Recently I have been getting requests for back links from my site and really have no idea where to price my links. I was planning on having

1. Links inserted into already ranking pages at a $/link
2. Guest posting with up to 2 - 3 backlinks per post.

Any thoughts on where to start my pricing on something like this?

Also if anyone have suggestions on maybe a service that would assist with this? I would like to hold off on doing a ton of backlinks from my site when there is a bit more value to be had.

1. it depends on the UR of the page where you insert the links, and whether or not the links are d0follow.

I've never purchased or sold link insertions, so I couldn't say what to ask for this type of links, but you take a look at the sellers in the marketplace (the link building section specifically) to get an idea what they're asking for, for sites with UR / DR that are similar to yours.

Or, you can also consult the pricing pages of link building networks / agencies to get an idea.

If I were to give a ballpark figure I would say that you can ask for $50+ if the UR is 20-ish, $70-80 if the UR is 30-ish, and so on... And if the UR is under 20 I think you cannot ask for more than $50. But again, this is just me pulling numbers out of my ass, I don't really know what the link insertions / niche edits are worth, so you'd better check out some sellers / agencies.

2. guest posting is usually cheaper than link insertions because the links don't pass enough authority in the beginning since the pages where the guest post are published usually have zero, or minimal authority because they're newly created.

Again, I would consult some link sellers / agencies for prices of metrics like yours and go from there. Or, when people contact you (especially if you notice that their emails are professional and the websites they want you to link to are of high quality) tell them to make you an offer you can't refuse! People who approach webmasters like you, asking for backlinks, will usually know the value of a backlink, they just don't say it because they hope that you're a rookie and will ask them for less money than they're willing to spend.

So, outright ask them (politely, of course) to make you an offer you can't refuse, and if you're happy with their offer accept it and remember the price for future reference. If they pass the ball back to you asking what you would like to charge you can tell them "I think $100 would be a fair price given my site's metrics and traffic". Some of them will pay, otherwise will make you a counteroffer which you can accept or reject, but at least you'll be able to figure out what value the metrics of your site has...
