Struggling sourcing genuine niche edits

does anyone have any decent advice on sourcing niche edits on genuine pages with genuine traffic? Everything offered on Market place is just link farms.

Get an SEMrush account and analyze your competitor sites.

If you spot their guest posts/niche edits then just reach out to the site owners for a link request.

thanks .. I have ahrefs... it seems that my competitors links (of any value) have been previously purchased. there doesn't seem to be any naturally acquired links in my niche from what I can see. I just need to buy one but sourcing genuine seems to be the problem.

Care to elaborate on what you mean by sourcing genuine links? There isn't such a thing.

You either pay for the placements or use HARO (a big waste of time these days) or you put out world-class content and wait until someone links back to you which can take years for you to gain a substantial amount of links.

SEO is always been "pay to play" and almost everyone pays.

I'm happy to pay for the placement. I just need it to go on a genuine website in my niche on a page that has genuine traffic with relevant keywords in my niche in the US market. I've used marketplace but it remains a challenge.

You go through the search results for keywords related to your niche and pick a site then discuss with them. It is straightforward process, but not many do it right. Though it can be tasking and very repetitive.
By the way, don't expect to get anything for free.
