Is this a good plan for ranking a new ecommerce site?

Posting lots of product pages, going for low hanging fruits keywrods
Posting lots of blog posts all related to the industry, creating topical authority, going for low hanging fruits keywrods

Buying high domain authority backlinks
buying high domain authority guest blog posts?
buying high domain authority press releases?

also im trying to rank in UK so ill buy just from UK sites. ill find people on here who will sell me them or on fiverr.

Is this a good plan? am i missing anything? or doing anything wrong?

Your idea is not that great, to be honest, but let me point a few things out:

Posting lots of different products won't help your SEO and quite likely has the opposite effect because the more pages/products you create the more you dilute the ranking strength/potential of your overall site.

Most e-commerce sites don't have lots of blog posts (check some from Google, preferably mid-sized Shopify sites and not Tier 1 brands) although they definitely won't hurt you then I personally think it's a waste of time and money because you could concentrate ranking product pages instead blogs and product pages at the same time.

DA alone is an irrelevant metric that doesn't guarantee you anything because the metrics can be very easily manipulated.
Press Releases are meant for announcements or credibility, and will generate no sales whatsoever as are practically useless in your case.

The only reason press release (syndication) could be useful in SEO is when you need to play with keyword density or need to even out nofollow-do.follow link ratio which is a controversial topic and might not have any effect on ranks at all but people do that when they have built way too many niche edits or PBNs as they think that will help them to "fly under the radar".

also im trying to rank in UK so ill buy just from UK sites. ill find people on here who will sell me them or on fiverr.
Fiverr is a terrible place to buy anything SEO-related as there are no quality services and you will depart with your money here as well if you don't know what you are doing and based on these questions above I'd suggest you do a little more research before you proceed before it's too late.

No need to pay as here is a nutshell plan for you:

  • Use quality niche edits and guest posts
  • Use PBNs only on product pages so you can change the product URL if things go south (because of bad links/service)

Learn how to distinguish bad links from good ones: Use SEMrush/Ahrefs to check the site's outbound links, traffic, and inbound links from other sources. If the site has a high DA/DR but low traffic then the site is whack. Also, make sure to check the specific pages that get traffic to see if it's legit or if the traffic has been manipulated. An interesting thread you should check is HERE

There are other things but not to overwhelm you then these are the basics that you should check first and foremost.

  • Learn how to distinguish bad PBNs from good ones: Most PBN services sold are not that good and you will only find perhaps 2-3 quality PBN sellers on this marketplace. Stay far away from cheap PBN links.
  • Stay far away from anything that is being sold in the "SEO - Packages" section. Most services there are basically the same (links from RankerX and GSA) as these will do you more harm than good. A good rule to follow: If you see a sales thread that has been designed using Marvel or any comics theme then avoid it entirely.

If your choice e-commerce platform is WP/Woocommerce then your chances of tweaking on-page SEO are better than using Shopify. Speaking from experience Shopify is much easier to manage but getting a near-perfect SEO score is almost impossible.

Again, all the information you need is free and available on this forum so you don't need to pay for advice.

I strongly recommend you go over the basics of SEO before you proceed or you will waste your money until the point where you either A: Will abandon your project due to lack of funds or B: You have wrecked your site with bad links and need to start again.

Your plan has some potential elements for improving your ecommerce site's ranking, but it also raises concerns:

Pros:

Creating product pages and blog posts can help target relevant keywords and attract organic traffic.

Focusing on low-hanging fruit keywords can yield quicker results.

Building topical authority through blog posts is a good strategy for long-term SEO.

Backlinks from high domain authority sites can improve your site's authority and visibility.

Cons:

Posting lots of product pages solely for low-hanging fruit keywords might lead to poor user experience and low-quality content.

Relying heavily on purchased backlinks, especially from low-quality sources, can lead to penalties from search engines.

Buying links, especially from sources like Fiverr, can result in low-quality links that could harm your site's reputation.

Overemphasizing backlinks without focusing on content quality and user experience may not yield sustainable results.

Recommendations:

Prioritize quality over quantity: Focus on creating valuable and relevant content for your audience rather than simply aiming for high volume.

Avoid buying low-quality backlinks: Instead, focus on building genuine relationships and partnerships that can naturally lead to high-quality backlinks.

Invest in organic growth: Instead of relying heavily on purchased backlinks, invest time in creating engaging content and building a strong online presence.

Consider local SEO strategies: Since you're targeting the UK market, optimize for local keywords, claim your Google My Business listing, and gather positive local reviews.

Monitor and adapt: Keep track of your site's performance using analytics tools and adjust your strategy based on the data you gather.

In short, while elements of your plan are reasonable, your emphasis on purchased backlinks and low-quality content creation might lead to more harm than good. Focus on organic growth, quality content, and ethical SEO practices for long-term success.
thanks chatgpt. but srsly thanks, this was good advice

The first thing you need to do is do keyword research and plan your collection/category pages. Then you work on your product pages. Because you will be ranking the collection pages, not the homepage.

After that do work on individual product pages. Some product pages will focus on particular keywords.

After that decide category/collection page you want to focus on. Find ones that are low competition and high volume.

For link building just build foundation links to home page and category pages first. This is to dilute the anchor text later when you hit with PBN/Niche edit/Guest Post

could you explain more about this? what is diluting the anchor text?

You get free links like established your free links like links from your own social media pages, image-sharing sites, etc. This is are the first links most sites usually get. This allows you to get some of the more "risky" links like homepage PBN links and niche edits. You don't want all your links to a particular page to consist of just niche edits or homepage PBN links.

No, e-commerce websites need to add a large number of pages. The main goals of e-commerce websites are the homepage and category pages. A large number of product pages can be laid out with keywords derived from the corresponding category pages. Rank the product page number one for multiple low-competition keywords. Of course, blog pages can also be added to introduce your related products and answer questions about your products. These are my own experience in e-commerce website, I hope it can be helpful to you

good idea but it will take time to make money.

You have a good plan, but you have to experiment to know what works best for you.

Your plan may also work...because ranking is based on various factors, each one follow some unique techniques according to their ideas.
But the Basic building Blocks are

Have a proper ecommerce website architecture.

Keyword research and using search engine auto suggest tools to know what people is searching for.
Use a long tail keyword which has a strong buyers intent. Believe it or not keyword research will do the half of the job for you.

Check out for your competitors and check where they getting their backlinks. Analyze the strategy of your competitors and make your own strategy to get ahead of them.

Increase the page loading speed. People will tend to spend time in sites which loads fast and give the information quickly.

Optimize your page, also optimize the images you used in your website.

Finally ensure a strong Backlink Portfolio, It plays a comparable Role.

Your plan includes some effective strategies for SEO, such as targeting low-hanging fruit keywords, creating relevant content, and obtaining backlinks. However, relying solely on buying backlinks, especially from questionable sources, can harm your site's credibility and search rankings in the long run. It's important to focus on both quality content creation and organic, reputable link building methods for sustainable and successful SEO in the UK market.

Don't dive into the backlink part yet
Give it 2-3 months
Focus on good quality content atm

GOOD PLAN , but the main factor is getting high quality links bro , just be concern that you get quality links and check the metrics over .

Hello, have any of you already purchased backlinks from another ecommerce site in your niche?

I have an ecommerce website and I've found a site on netlinking platform that doesn't rank on the same keywords as me (so not a direct competitor) but is almost in the same niche as me. Is it a good idea to receive a becklink from this kind of website? Or do you recommend backlinkss from blogs and informational sites instead?
