I produce content for youtube shorts. It's been 2 weeks since I started the channel. My content is of high quality and in a style that the audience will like. My videos fall into the algorithm, but the like rate is very low. Could this have something to do with the new start of the channel? I guess it's not directing the right audience yet. What are you thinking?

It might be but also most of the people do not like the videos that's why almost all of the channels remind them to like their videos. The thing you need to care about is the views you get I think.

How often do you post? I started a shorts channel a few months ago and post once a week and get good amt of viwers and positive thumbs up. post consistently.

I share 1 short video every day.

It is normal to experience new channel syndrome, just keep interacting with your audience and urging them to like your videos.

If your content is of high quality and is winning the algorithm .Then, no need to worry about likes,as they will increase as you will grow wider audience with time via consistent posting.

try to interact with them, reply or like some comments, in your video add section where you add if you like the video click the like button or a sound with an animation of the mouse cliking the like button or a picture witha thumbs up with a mouse pointer on it on the corners of the video to remind them to like it, some people might have the option to move automatically to the next video and forget to like it before that happen so a little reminder is ok.

A low like rate can be normal for a new channel, especially when first starting out. This can be related to a variety of factors, including algorithms, audience familiarity, and how competitive the content is. Here are some suggestions and points to think about:

Continue to provide high-quality content: You already realize that your content is high-quality, and this is a good place to start. Consistently delivering valuable, engaging videos will increase viewer engagement.

Optimize video titles and descriptions: Make sure your video titles and descriptions are accurate, catchy, and describe exactly what your video is about. This helps attract your target audience and helps the algorithm recommend your video correctly.

Know your target audience: Research and understand who your target audience is, what are they interested in, what are their viewing habits. By understanding your audience, you can tailor your content and marketing strategies to better capture their interest and engagement.

Proactively promote your channel: Instead of relying on algorithmic recommendations, you can also actively promote your channel and videos. Use social media, forums, blogs, and more to engage with potential viewers, share your video, and invite them to watch and like it.

Interact with your audience: Reply to comments, encourage your audience to leave feedback, ask your audience for their opinion, etc., to build stronger connections and increase audience engagement and loyalty.

Continuous Learning and Improvement: Watch and learn strategies and tips from other successful YouTube Shorts creators. Understand industry trends, try different creative styles and topics, and continuously improve and enhance your own content.

The thing to remember is that building and growing a successful YouTube channel takes time and patience. Keep working hard at creating high-quality content and experimenting with different promotion and marketing strategies, and your audience base and likes will likely grow over time.

I would keep posting quality content and wait it out for a month..

Youtube shorts is dead. Same content on facebook = 1 mil views, tiktok = 250k views. On Youtube shorts? 1.2k views.

Likes do not matter much. It deoends very much if you have large subscriber base. You should focus on getting more views first.
