I rewrote some articles and added new articles by letting chatgpt rewrite them completely and it did not turn out good. I mean they are perfect but the rankings are not great. I think the google can spot it is AI and they are completely plagiarism free and written really well. I added several articles and rewrote several on my site and the traffic just stopped lol

What is your site about roughly? And is it any good? Like would you be proud to browse it if you came across it?
In all the niches I'm in, I rank for more and more keywords every week with just edited ai content. I'm proud to be in the niches I'm in and enjoy writing about them regularly, and have plans for each site to get to 10k articles.
Also don't make decisions about what you see happening, unless you are regularly keeping note of the changes in your ahrefs free webmaster for example. Otherwise you are just complaining about the wind.

AI-generated content isn't that bad, as long as they're thoroughly reviewed and edited to ensure it flows naturally and makes sense. You must add personal touches to the content. This could include using humor, personal anecdotes, unique insights, perspectives, and value that can't be found elsewhere.
i use chat gpt to rewrite it, the grammar is perfect I am sure...and now I see the traffic completely stopped after I added like 10 new articles.....content is also plagiarism free 100% and it is rewritten from magazines about vegan recipes, alternative medicine...etc....i am really confused....

In my point of view Chat GPT is best one because it was quick response. it's gives more content and claryfication. if you feel bad use different questions or alteration questions in Chat GPT. Google also good but it's give repeat content some times. but Chat GPT gives different and accurate information.
in my opinion you can write by AI by after that you'll be optimize by your own or by helping websites

Based on the spelling and grammar in all the replies in this thread, we can confirm that AI is the superior writer. In my experience though, It can be pretty hit or miss. Some articles will do extremely well and others need to be abandoned or revised.
In my own testing, unedited but heavily guided AI-written posts will rank 2 times out of 30, while the same but human-edited will rank 10+ out of 30 (these are just small personal tests). At the end of the day, content is just the focal point in which all other ranking factors converge. AI can write content and adhere to basic SEO principles really well, but even with human-nuanced editing, it can still be hit or miss once all the other factors are taken into account. (User intent is a big one, AI doesn't do a very good job of keeping it in scope).
With that said, If you think your content is acceptable, than it's time to check the other factors and the competitive landscape of the targeted keywords.

the traffic suddenly stopped completely even for my old content.....which was written personally by me without AI, I just added 10 articles rewritten by chat gpt from magazines in last 2 weeks and the traffic for the whole site just declined to 10 %

Do you realize that the rewritten article is not ai content, its duplicate content?
if it passes plagiarism how can it be duplicate? MOst of the SEO is rewriting articles...what do you think seos are doing?

In My Opinion Chat GPT works best for natural language processing tasks, and therefore is not designed specifically for SEO, but it may help with understanding customer data and engaging in conversations more naturally.
