Why don't you use the main account to grow other accounts this way ?I have over 3 million followers - if I follow another account, that account seems to gain around 100-200 a day just because I've followed it - although I don't follow many other accounts.
I do not believe though that because someone with 2 million followers has followed you, the existing algorithm favours you in terms of your own tweets suddenly being shown to others on Twitter, as the above poster suggests. It's just if they don't follow many other people they'll see you in their timeline and may retweet, which is where the obvious benefit comes.
