TheRichest channel seemed to fall off.

Even some of their subscribers in the recent videos said the channel fell off.

A 15M channel struggling to cross 10k views on a single video.

One of the comments in a video said their shift towards the political side doomed their channel.

What made this channel fall off? The videos are good tho.

It happens when YouTube flags some of your content as inappropriate. Sometimes, the creator would be unaware of the shadowban, but it is usually temporary.

Maybe it mention something and youtube did not like, I see some videos related to politics, and that is a tabu and bad for some channels could be that, if you put a video about a war or politics you need to do it neutral and with facts no giving personal information or ideas, the video must be as educational but still not everything of this type can be posted, one word can get in trouble the rest of the videos that are uploaded, but the channel still doing fine.

What made this channel fall off? The videos are good tho.

They alienated their audience by changing their content focus away from billionaires and fantastic wealth to topical episodes about current figures and economics.

I used to follow them a few years ago for the their coverage of ridiculous wealth, but it looks like they turned into another CNBC type channel.

Playthrough matters the most, if people aren't playing your stuff all the way through then YouTube won't push your work to your subscribers.

YouTube only cares about engagement... channels like Fresh And Fit prove it.

Followers and content don't matter more than engagement and watch through.

And when you're as big as The Richest you probably have a rep that would help you stay relevant.

The truth is The Richest has WAY MORE competition now and they're not that interesting.

I am not sure what happened in this particular case.

But shadow bans for certain views and incidents are very common now. Google, as a company, tries to avoid conflicts with the people in power in all countries. They follow the orders of leaders to keep things smooth. Their main goal is to run their business without any hitches or fines. They often don't stand up for what's right.

lack of consistency because when they publish their video, much information is already infused on Youtube, so the algorithm doesn't recommend their videos to their subscribers. I personally experienced this I subscribed few channels, and when their video got published I never get recommendations on my youtube timeline. Secondly, I feel when channels don't post content frequently people get lost in their minds.

The last time they got 100k+ views was 7 months back. Channels fall off and go irrelevant, nothing new in that. I doubt it's a shadowban. If they had any loyal followers the channel would've continued to receive views as loyal fans manually search and check their favorite channels to watch new content.
Changing their niche most likely resulted in their decline. They got 2.7 billion views in all these years. Should pull the plug and start a fresh channel because when your engagement is down the drain, recovering is almost impossible.
