Hello BlackHatWorld community,

I am seeking advice and guidance as I embark on an exciting journey towards becoming my own boss and starting my own business.

A little background about myself: I have been working in the tech industry as a sales representative for several years, and I've decided it's time to take the leap into entrepreneurship. I want to be my own boss, take charge of my destiny, and build something I can be truly proud of.

I have saved up $50,000, which I am eager to invest in my venture. However, I am at a crossroads and uncertain about the best direction to take. I am open to various ideas and opportunities that align with my background and interests.

I would be incredibly grateful if you could offer your insights and expertise in this forum. If any of you have been through a similar transition or have experience in starting a business, I would love to hear your stories and advice. What areas or industries should I consider? What pitfalls should I watch out for?

Your guidance could make a significant difference in my journey, and I'm eager to learn from the collective wisdom of this community. Thank you all in advance for your time and support.

Looking forward to your valuable input!

If you don't have any skills, I would recommend you start a SaaS business. with a capital of $50k, you can easily start a new business from scratch, and build and run it for long-term success.

I already have some ETF and stock with more and less 5% of profit by year. The 50k$ is for investment in a business to be able to generate a revenue to pay my bill, to create my own job.

Hey man,

I too started my journey half a year before and I now own a Google Ads Agency for local Home services.

Now, I have stabilized around a decent income.

I pretty much did not have to invest a lot in it.

Around $500-$1000 and a lot of time and hard work.

So, if you want a safe business that even if you fail at, will not cost you anything, then an Agency is what you are lokking at.

Of course, investing into the Agency can make it work and stabalise faster.

I think the greates pitfall you should avoid is switching business models often, I did it a lot and this made me struggle for half a year when I could have did it in a month, (looking back, I just needed to be more confident)

Starting an Agency really has few difficulties, I will rank them for you:

1. Finding Clients in a market, the most difficult at the start. With money you could run Paid Ads to get Clients, but without it will take you a lot of work and time

2.Systems and client Retention, this is the second difficult. You have to comunicate with clients and set systems in place that automates eveything, otherwise you just got a new 9-5.

3. The service and team, this is the easiest, you can find a lot of pirated and free courses online or knowledge. With cash, you can also get a lot of coaching and courses that could help you massively in this area. For building a team, cheap VAs work fine to do most of the heavy lifting.

If you want to start an Agency, then you should focus on these from 1-3. And if you want to invest into the Agency, you should invest first in 1 then 2 and 3.

That is all from me, you can ask me questions.

Cheers!

use your skills as a tech sales representative and start your own agency
you can deal with businesses that need sales representatives but you won't do it yourself

I assume you already have relationships so it is easy for you to hire good people in your agency and you will keep the profit margin

And experience?

Does that come out of your customers expense?

You need hundreds of hours of experience at minimum managing ad accounts and campaigns.. You ain't be getting that watching videos.

If you do not have that experience then you are learning out of your customers expense.. You don't provide a solid service.

Just do something similar to what you have already done that made you that money. Make your own knowledgeable money-making process about the diamonds under your feet, rather than walk into the wilderness and ask people for random ideas, of which they are going to recommend things they know about more than you. If you trust this advice you better watch you don't underestimate your current marketplace skills and lose your cash to a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow idea.

Man, why are you hating.

I have watched hundreds of videos and courses with people that ran Agencies before. Surely they have expirience, right?

I am not including any Books and conversations that I have with other Agencies.

I ran few free trial Campgains too and have gotten good results for my clients.

Now I have 12 happy clients that I generate business for, and they are refering me but I can not handle the workload. I am training a few VAs now.

I feel insulted that you are misjudging me, behave yourself please. Do not assume things about people that you have no idea about.

Rather than hating, why not offer advice to this guy?

I am not hating.

You are encouraging people to offer random services with questionable results that they have no clue about or any experience.

I can tell you with 100% confidence that nobody would have hired you knowing your previous experience.

This is ridiculous lol. Imagine hiring someone to deal with your site SEO who has come off from Udemy courses.

Yea, but I do not do SEO, duh einstein.

I do Ads, more easier to deal with.

Plus, I told my clients perfectly that I no expirience before. They needed new business and paying Homeadvisor for example $50 a lead that is also sold to other companies was bankrupting them.

That is why I offred free trials.

And yes, I am encourging people to start an Agency. Have you ever started an Agency?

It is crazy tough, he will fail 100%. Just like I did.

But at the end he will come out of it better, maybe better than me.

That is the reason I said an Agency requires minimal costs and low risk. Infact, it has the lowest risk out of any other business, especially ads agencies.

So if he does start it, he will have low costs.

Stop annoying me, and maybe give the guy some advice yourself. You seem to know more about BlackHat methods than me, I am more of WhiteHat guy. Maybe give hime advice in that area.

Anyway, cheers!

Thank you for that, unfortunately this is my issue, I struggle to get the idea to be able to use my own knowledge

You've not mentioned anything about your skills or your interests. A sales representative in tech is not enough for us to know your skills. This is just another one of those vague posts that throws a random number and asks for the best possible ideas to invest in.
It doesn't work that way. Identify one direction that you want to take and then start a side hustle, if you find success you can then quit your job and invest more to scale up your side hustle to be your full time business.

$50000 is not a lot and you'll burn through all of it just on ads if you don't know what you're doing.
People are going to throw random ideas your way and that is going leave you more confused. Identify a few options yourself and then come up with a post with your plans, asking for further advice.

Running a business is harder than a regular job and an internet business is even harder.

Build Authority websites. You can double that money in a year with that if you know what you are doing

Try to invest as less as possible in a few different things to get an idea of what works and what does not.

DO NOT Invest all of it or most of it on one thing or you will regret later.

If you don't have any skills, I would recommend you start a SaaS business. with a capital of $50k, you can easily start a new business from scratch, and build and run it for long-term success.

How could one start a SAAS without any skills? Can you explain? Thanks!

Looks like you are okay with high risk ventures so you could try forex social trading. Google it.

Good advice I would say, especially if he has ability to persuade and explain.

+1. Do what already works and scale if possible (not applicable if it is money saved from wages).

Did you do it? I wouldnt try this in the AI era.

affilate sales can laf1 good direction. The amount of capital spent will not be much. If you can connect with Chinese merchants. You will not need to spend money to import goods. Just bring in the orders and send them information. They will pack and ship to your customers, you will receive a commission on every order. please take advantage of reel and tiktok to sell, these markets are really growing in the near future because buyers can see the products with their own eyes rather than just seeing the products through the pictures. Good luck

If a person has coding skills, he can save money on developing an app; otherwise, he needs to spend a huge amount of money to build a SaaS application. Since the OP doesn't have technical skills but has a lot of capital to invest, I recommended he start a SaaS business.
