The easiest $5k/month business I've had was selling freelance coders to IT companies.

IT firms are booming in my country, and most of them have more demand than what they can supply (they don't have enough coders).

A lot of these firms would then proceed to find freelance coders for some projects where they don't have enough in-house people to work on them.
I used to find, train and manage freelance coders for these firms. Took a good commission from each.

I helped to ensure that the companies don't have to spend time finding a 'good enough' freelancer, as I've already gone through the 'bad ones'.

Why do you say "used to"? How come you stopped?

Did you do outreach / emailing, or did you have an inbound funnel?

What dev skills were most in demand?

I would love to learn CPA marketing because I have seen people scaling it pretty easily. The only concern is that it needs a lot of budget to understand how it works.

By frequenting this forum I believe that the only secret to making money is to be able to generate traffic for free or at a low cost, at which point there are several more or less effective ways to monetize, but they are an insignificant detail.

I stopped due to some problems with my health. My health collapsed some time ago, which forced me to stop all work for a while. I didn't feel like continuing that specific business, as I didn't feel like the money was worth the stress I got from that.

I'm pretty well connected to some higher-ups in IT firms, so many firms just came to me as they know I can get sh*t done, and well.
I don't remember outreaching to any more than 5 companies in the span when I operated the business. Most clients came from my connections to the higher-ups, and word of mouth.
In the city where I live/operated the business, pretty much all the IT firms' executives talk to each other very openly, and many referenced me to other executives, if they needed such services.

Most requested dev skills were definitely simple home pages for small businesses, and WordPress site creation. Some Python for automating in-house tasks was also pretty in demand.
