Reddit Links - direct or masked?

I want to start sharing links on Reddit but not sure if I should use a URL shortener or if it's better to link directly to my site.

Your site will probably get banned sitewide if you're spamming, in that case you will have to mask the link with another url. Public url shorteners don't work on reddit, you will need to purchase a cheap domain to redirect most likely.

Thanks very much for your feedback. That's a great idea with the cheap domain. I should have clarified in my initial post. I plan to reply to relevant posts and comment with my link.

Exactly, buy cheap domain and install url short script and get new link then spam and when the link is banned get a new domain and repeat.

Use text links and only in a highly contextual matter. For example: When answering to people that can be helped by your site. Anything else will get you banned. Also don't post the same link with the same account more than a couple of times.
