Hello bhw,
I have a channel in the kids category with high subscribers. since the subscribers are old, many of them are not active, so the subscriber does not contribute much to the view. i share normal videos on my channel, but not many people watch them. no matter how good content i publish, i can't exceed a certain number of views. the views officially hit a barrier and froze.

I was uploading 3-4 normal videos and 2-3 shorts a week. I'm thinking of reducing the number of normal videos and uploading shorts for a certain period of time. I believe in the threshold theory and I think I can overcome this with shorts videos?

your ideas are important to me.

i think you are seeing a level of views based on the amount of active users on your account. lets say you have 1000 subscribers and get around 300-400 views a video thats going to be your natural view limit. i dont think youtube is limiting you. if your videos got more shares higher retention likes comment's ect i think they will start to send you more views

thanks for your ideas. ive already started to upload more often short videos. i will let you know shortly :)

Well yeah, but depends if your videos go viral

You can do it, remember that shorts are a good way to get more discoverability that will be a good idea and does not rquire too much edition, can be only the higlight of a vide you previously did and you save time and work.

Here's what you can try: Do a good competitive analysis, watch marketing trends and keep a good eye on competitors in your niche. Then do a good research on your keywords that you want to rank.Try using vidIQ for that.Add titlei in thumbnail and description.

cant add title becouse my channel is for kids but ill try other ideas. thanks

Same problem. You should create new channel and start new circle suggestion.

I agree, if you keep on posting consistently forget about the stats for a bit and just give a push for a couple of weeks or months you will get the traction you're hoping for.

You should give them an incentive to watch and share videos. If they share the videos, you will get more subscribers.

Obviously, it is worth it. You are seeing good and better results.
For example, I uploaded a shorts video every day and as you can see in the graph, it went up, but then it went down again.

normally I was uploading normal videos more often, but normal videos don't pay for my efforts because they are watched less. so I try to keep the channel popular with shorts videos.

Yes, keep uploading your shorts videos to build up subscribers and relevance it in your niche.
