Different things? SpaceX is a good name. X isn't IMO

Twitter sounds good in most languages. X doesn't. In Spanish it's gonna be pronounced "Equis". In Italian they'll call it 'eeks' ....

Sounds like shit IMO

Yeah, it sounds weird in probably most languages, but he is obsessed with Xs and tries to compete with Thread. I think a rebranding of the bluebird is a good idea and will bring some attention.

As a marketer I don't care how a platform is called, but the opportunities and the content.

its really silly they will lose a lot of brand value just like similar to facebook rebrand to Meta.
 
It must be related to his new AI company called xAI. It might have some kind of integration with Twitter.
 
Funny thing about Elon, whether you like him or not, obviously investors and people with a shitload more money than any of us like him.
Otherwise he wouldn't get the investments he does, the millions he got to buy Twitter, the Billions people have poured into Tesla, and don't forget about the money in SpaceX. He might be loaded on paper, but the money financing all these ventures didn't all come from him.

I would expect that Twitter will come out of this better off financially, whether it's increased revenue or increased value. Simply because of the "Elon factor" not necessarily because of any good business or marketing decisions.
 
we dont really know why he is doing this but i also dont think its something random or stupid, its foolish to think that he alone made this decision, no matter how it looks like, he doesnt even tweet probably before he discuss it with some people that he is paying bunch of money
