Which poker platforms do you recommend in 2023?

What is the least rigged and has the best tournaments or most players?

Pokerstars happens to be rigged to the core, as I read that even their CEO got caught with insider trading so there is a reason why they are sitting in the Isle of Mann and the web is full of people whining about the terrible situation.

What's left then? 888 Poker?

Honestly bro, go play live games period.
Everything that is online has back doors and such even live blackjack and roulette it’s all a scam. I wa as big gambler online until I sat with some site owners and learned how everything works, just go to a casino or private games if it’s poker it’s easy to find private games… but if you can, don’t gamble at all.
Goodluck bro.

And you are probably right.

But there are very few places where you could find decent tournaments.

Perhaps in Vegas or Macau - I was in Paris last year and couldn't find a single casino where you could play holdem tournaments.. Eventually, I found something but those were small tourneys and cash tables (only a couple of tables max).

South of France was worse. They don't even have a casino in St. Tropez.. There were some smaller ones outside of that area but I don't think Europe has any good places to play at all.

i guess you live in Europe
You could go cruise ship
Or even Cyprus, Greece, Prague
They have great tournaments every week.

The CEO you talked about isnt their CEO since 2012. Pokerstars/party/gg poker are the safest sites right now. The sites arent rigged against you, they have no reason, they earn more if they keep you playing for long thru rake than stealing your bankroll. However, the players do cheat with RTA nowadays.

You will find people whining about all poker sites, because most people suck at poker and they will blame the sites for their own laziness and stupidity. You will also find a lot of people living from online poker 10+ years.

And to all the other answers: cheating is much more prominent in live games than online. Online if you use the trackers, you can spot anomalies very fast. IRL you cant.

But they do hide at the Isle of Mann, right? This means they are not regulated or not regulated enough.

I am not sure about 2012 but checking the post from Quora then it dates back 5 years.

Someone made a 25-point rant there with the following info:

  1. Why would they need to hide on Isle of Mann?
  2. So that founders and owners can rejoice at their private Grand Prix and race motorcycles.
  3. They have their own bots that clean the tables.
  4. Even the CEO of the company defrauds everyone by insider trading, and the biggest ever lawsuit against Amaya for insider trading CEO and insiders. What more can you expect from such company?
  5. The only thing that is guaranteed is that you will be broke.
  6. They have staking groups who will take their cut and only then you can win, like CrushTheDonks etc.
  7. Check out crazy graphs like YawnKiss who will run so good with draws completing every single time.
  8. Even Scam Advisors have labeled them as fraud for defrauding their advertisers.
  9. They crashed head first after stealing from their SuperNova and SuperNova Elite players who were busting their balls over the year and having guaranteed payout so millions were stolen from them. The CEO planned that Amaya stock will decline and he placed large bets on that and took short positions. So he makes 1 million over the table and now wants to make 100 million dollar under the table and retire in Hawaii. But he got caught in insider trading.
  10. They can make players win like Viktor Blom who won two SCOOP back to back from a very large field and just imagine odds of 1 in a million. Then their PokerStars manager himself spilled the beans stating he made Blom sir win. And why? Blom was ripped off to the tune of millions and was a fan favorite, he could get the crowds back.
  11. Poker rigging is easy, and the RNG has been rigged and how? “WE CAN DISCARD CARDS DRAWN BY RNG UPTO 5 times” they write this on their own terms and conditions and it was discussed by members on TwoPlusTwo that there is a software condition that if a player who has a run good status defined in their database is on the table and if he is in a hand than discard the card drawn from the RNG until he gets the winning hand. What’s more in their terms and conditions they mention that any software flaw they are not responsible. They themselves want to shun every responsibility of any software error, they can change the software at whim without any legal obligations. Are these the righteous ways of a company making billions a year.
  12. The greed of money is endless, the US government banned FTP and PS and were charged with stacking the deck, they run off to the islands to do the devilry and continue in their evil ways, why else online poker would be banned for so long in US. Welcome Trump and now the devilry will be back again. Why Only NJ and Vegas and not other states, they have immigrants their and people of Vegas are gamblers so what they will lose online they will lose in casinos, so let’s protect the other states.
  13. Notice all the crazy images guys when they pop up on PokerStars table they are out to run you down with bad beats, and they are those images that will incite you, or simply will be fooling with your mind.
  14. Once you have tilted then you can empty the bank account to their coffers.
  15. Spin and Go another scam, the staking boss and who runs a stable wins a million dollars flat, payment for running stable and those stable horses are going to get even more moolah after their name is added by PokerStars Manager in run good. Only one click does it, once name is added they run good, it is funny to see two run good players on the same table and they will chop it up a lot of times insanely.
  16. They are playing with your mind so that they can tilt you and PokerStars should ideally be known as Tilt Poker and they already owned a Full Tilt company, their job is to tilt you, stun you with bad beats, and once you are stunned and you keep depositing and you keep paying for their mansions in Vegas, their trips, their fiances, their parties and the good life. You make their dreams come true.
  17. Even TwoPlusTwo is payed money to defend PokerStars name, they charge heavy revenues, anytime someone blames PokerStars they have a team that will troll you and will shove the thread under the carpet.
  18. Where I play live there are players that win thousands of dollars daily and they can’t win money there.
  19. Luke Schwartz a notable player calls PokerStars as worse than scam. He himself has lost nearly a million there and can win a dollar there.
  20. Only insiders and players like Doug Polk win at PokerStars and he is the player who was shamed on YouTube and twoplusTwo forums for playing so bad on live at the bike that his bosses were cussing on him. (Hand where Torelli owns his soul)/
  21. PokerStars is nothing but mafia in EPT and such events players have had their rolls stolen from their rooms. They managers and bosses too know make hay while the sun shines.
  22. With so many allegations online PokerStars has his head shamelessly up because it knows the compulsive gamblers are going to donate everything to them for free, the degens know they will lose their shirts on PS but keep on playing.
  23. The ratings that PokerStars gets on PokerScout is straight 1 out of 10 with complains that total theft, thieves. If you just type on google “Pokerstars is a” you will see the reality.
  24. So why is this scam not stopped? Because they are in the Isle of Mann where such things are permitted by the government, the government permits other types of debauchery too which I am ashamed to write here. It is a place where money is worshiped and above everything.
  25. The best way to stop getting scammed is to ban your account for 6 months. remove your account permanently. It is a game where you are guaranteed to lose. They themselves mention this is a game and no one should play there to earn money. It is pure entertainment like casino, the only difference is deck is stacked against you and you will lose everything. Need I type more?

They don't hide, they are the most regulated, most accountable site around. Every site is based at similar places for tax reasons.

Some of these things in this list are true, but most of them are total bullshit. Also as I said, people are crazy, you will find such stuff from all poker sites. Head over to 2p2 where the actual pros are talking, you will get better advice than quora.

I'll check out GG later.

Thanks

Unfortunately all online casinos will have an edge in their side, even for the "provably fair" ones there is no real way to verify.

not exactly what you asked but bodog is still really soft even at hight levels. if i had to recommend something, it would be that (if its available in your country)

Isn't the online gambling industry like a haven for organized crime? I heard that Malta is legit full of the Italian / Sicilian Mafia that operate their site form there.

That someone is just an idiot who doesnt know what they're talking about. You'll find tonnes of negativity around the web from disgruntled players who just suck and want to rant about why they lost the rent money.

Practically 0 large scale poker sites are "rigged".

Sure there's tonnes of sniping, RTA and various other grey areas but the company itself has 0 interest in rigging the game against you lol. They actually want you to win, that's how they make money, they want you to play as long as humanly possible so they can rake you to death.

It's based in Isle of man for tax & gaming law reasons primarily, that's all. Same as every other large gaming company in the world that operates from a tax haven.

Get the ppoker app, find a reputable club and join that. The absolute softest games I've ever played.

Lol at this.

Full Tilt was rigged to the core and they got caught.

Certain players had "God" rights where they could see other people's cards. It's not like this is some sort of conspiracy from losing players, they got caught with it and they were one of the biggest.

There ain't "rigged" sites, its 2023 after all. GGpoker and PokerStars, both very good and safe, quick withdrawals etc!

WTF are you talking about? Complete bullshit which is really easy to factcheck.

Full Tilt was shut down in 2011 because theyt kept operating in the USA despite the UIGEA introduction in 2006. They had problems in the upcoming years paying people back because their finances weren't up to standard, but in the end everyone was paid, and the integrity of the game was never breached.

The superuser scandal you are talking about happened at Absolute Poker years earlier, and it wasn't a systematic thing, just a few rogue players/employees acting out. Those people got caught, but it wasn't something the company made intentionally.

If there's one thing I've learned from CS:GO coinflip and roulette gambling in 2017 is that the seeds and provably fair are real but they can see the outcome before it's shown in the user interface.

That was so long ago when I played I messed up the names, but that Full Tilt incident.. They did defraud customers out of around $300 million.

https://www.cnet.com/tech/tech-industry/full-tilt-poker-cheated-players-out-of-300-million-wsj-says/
And it wasn't only Absolute Poker but Ultimate Bet as well.

Ultimate Bet had superusers and they were one of the biggest poker sites at that time. The company later claimed that malicious code was added by another software company but that's a conflicting story where high-level executives knew about it all along:

Mate, it's like your desperate to prove that somehow online poker platforms are rigged against the users.

They're just not. If you've gotten a tonne of bad beats or lost your roll, play better or get luckier. That's just poker.

Sure, there's been a tonne of shady shit in the online poker space over the last 2 decades from various operators. This is no different from any industry.

The fact is, they're not rigged, the big platforms have 0 interest in "rigging" the game so you lose $20. It's just farcical to even think that.
