July 2023 Extreme Volatility

Hi everyone,

This is my first thread although I have posted on other's threads in the past. Is anyone seeing performance volatility that would match what the third party volatility reports are showing? I have not seen anything this high since That Google Data Center was on fire last August.

it all depends on the niche, everything is more or less calm for me.

That is a good point. Just with it so high I feel like I should be seeing something at least. But you are right. I was wondering with generative search coming in now if they started giving the AI(s) control over the ranking algos. And if so, if the AI(s) would start making real time updates based on user behavior. If anything close to that is the case I guess we could just see volatility scores like this as normal going forward without lots of people noticing anything in performance while some of course would notice a lot.

if you follow Barry on twitter there has been extreme volatility this past 4 weeks. he said he has literally never seen the charts spike so high over so long. Something big is coming with the next update.
