A question about cashing out crypto (I already know the answer)

If you want security, not neccessarily the best rate, you can look to open an account on revolut.

If you want to keep it annonymous is really difficult at some point you will have to give your information and if you go for someone else to do the exchange you receive money and you send them the crypto might not end well unless is someone with a good reputation.

This is just a question worth asking.

I want to convert some crypto into real cash. Is there a way to do it without using a bank?
The minute it goes to a bank all the beauty of crypto is gone.

Why do you want to convert crypto into paper?
I'd convert crypto into the things you wanted to gain with your wortless paper.
you can easily do so by applying to one of the many crypto debit/credit cards on the market.
theyll use your crypto as collateral for your buys, so when crypto goes up... dang, that car became free :P

Crypto txs was never meant to be anonymous.
Its the most transparent backend in economic history, ever.

Its just like early facebook... until its "mainstream", its dangerous and shady :P

Like what's mentioned above, it's not a wise decision to liquidate all your crypto assets, but whatever made you take the decision you got two option: Crypto cards or P2P exchanges, the problem with the first is that it's hard to remain anonymous, most of the companies got KYC in place, the problem with the second is that a lot of times there isn't enough offer in case you're trying to cash out a big amount.

Because there's a lot of stuff that I do that can't be done with crypto. Such as doing business in Qatar

Then you take your crypto backed card.
Take a stroll to a local quatar ATM.
Withdraw the amount of quatari riyal youll need, and *poooof* your crypto just bacame wortless paper (thats a joke.. you do need central governed useless paper to gain some stuff :) )

(Just make sure your LTV is good, so your crypto dont get liquidated)

Thing is, if you use your crypto as collateral in a "not bull" environment, you cant loose. time in market beats timing the market, every time)

Will not work.
Crypto and everything to do with crypto is illegal in Qatar.

Listen, no one has to sell me on the beauty and benefits of crypto. But, there's always going to be some sort of situation where crypto isn't going to be practical or it just won't work.

I'm just looking for a solution without having to prove who I am or explain my money to a legacy bank or government. NB: My reaons haves nothing to do with criminal activity or avoiding taxes.

So, let me see if i get you right:
You dont want anything to do with crypto, since its illegal in quatar.
You want to exchange your crypto, since its.. uhm, illegal in quatar.

I dont know if you know how a backend of a "crypto card" is working?
When you withdraw cash in an ATM, the payeer to that bank will be a financial institution like payex etc (someone licensed to handle paper),

If i were you, residing in a country where something is banned, and i have heaps of it.
I'd probably pay a friend or family to handle the transactions for me (and send me money), but since you wouldnt have anything to do with banks... try trading a couple BTC in some nice camels.

You're making a lot of assumptions. Honestly, I should NOT have to jump through hoops explaining everything that I do and why I do what I do.

I want to cash out SOME crypto into government issued paper money. But, I want to avoid the legacy banking system and government over-reach. A nation (Qatar) which I do business in has declared crypto illegal and most (probably all) crypto debit cards won't work unless backed by a traditional bank.

Does anyone have a solution ?

Ok, i see.
Then, get that crypto card.
Take a weekend trip to UAE (They allso have a golden visa program, if you consider moving from quatar :D ).
Take out the cash you need in dubai, from your crypto card (wich by the way is backed by traditional banks).
Go back to quatar and spend whatever you want :)

Or... just sell your tokens to some shady private guy, and make a deal to meet him in a dark allyway next saturday ... (i wouldnt suggest that solution though ;P )

I don't live in Qatar.. I do business in Qatar. A weekend trip when I'm already going to be a tight schedule is not going to be possible.

Nevertheless, you've already kind of answered my question. It seems like there's no way around a traditional bank. Perhaps I can find an online bank that doesn't ask any questions and is outside of the reach of the USA.

Bro I exchanged a lot of crypto on paxful via payoneer. After 50k or so they caught me

I cash out locally with people wo charge 2% - 10% (commission lower for lager amount)

Get direct cash for all my crypto.
