Hi guys!

I would like to know if we can remove a 301 redirect or its not possible?

Thanks

If you remove the redirect code you should remove the redirect, but it may take some time.

It deepends on what´s causing that 301.

301s are not bad per se for SEO and they will eventually fade over time.

For example, if the 301 is being caused by a missing trailing slash in the URL slug on a clickable element on the footer, you might get a notification on SEMRush you have hundreds or thousands of redirect issues but, in reality, it´s only one but given it´s placed on an on-page element that is visible site-wide it will trigger hundreds or thousands of issues.

This is an easy fix as you can go into the backend of your site, find that footer element and just add the damn / to the hyperlink and be done.

But, if the main version of your site carries www and there are non-www versions as well, you want to redirect these so, 301s are inevitable.

I hope this makes sense!

Yes, possible to remove a 301 redirect but it may result in broken links, loss of traffic and negative impact on SEO. So better think and remove

It can be done by removing the redirect configuration from the server or by modifying the .htaccess file. Now the original URL will resume its normal functionality.

it is possible , you restart the computer, you use vpn, you use private browser . you should remove 301 eror.
welcome more question you ask.

Removing a 301 redirect without a valid reason can have negative consequences. Broken links or dead ends will be encountered by users who have bookmarked or connected to the redirected URL, which will negatively affect their user experience. If you need to change the redirect, consider updating it to a new location or modifying the target URL. To keep your website's functionality, accessibility, and SEO integrity, you must carefully consider the consequences and make sure that proper redirects are in place.

from where? Domain control panel or hosting control panel. If you have access to the control panel you can remove 301 redirect or add redirect.
