I am making a tube in wordpress and I am looking for a way to efficiently post videos on my tube. I am gonna be embeding them from my cdn and I was wondering if there is a way to aumatically generate a thumbnail and maybe ever a trailer thumbnail from the embedded video .Is there a plugin or software capable that can do that?

Not aware of any plugins that do that. You'll probably need custom development

There is a plugin that generates thumbnail images from embedded videos from You Tube. Search for - Videopack By Kyle Gilman. This is the recently updated plugin that just does the job well.
