Threads initial success: Why was it so easy for Meta?

I have seen that whenever a hyped online tool is being launched, it is getting lot of signups in millions. This happened with chatgpt and now again with threads. Do we have lot of people interested in new web properties now and this is why these sites get so many initial users? Or is the data being faked by these companies?

seriously? it is one of the biggest companies in the world, infinite resources to invest in marketing and promotion, it is obvious that they will have millions of accounts in a few days

Because of the great popularity of one platform they promote the other, in insta notification about the new application popped up I think this at least served a huge transition of the audience

I think it because they linked it with IG. We all know how popular IG is this moment. So of course it will get the hype.

You can't look at the last few days as an isolated event.

With the amount of Marketing and brand reputation Millions of accounts is just a child's play for them.

They literally tied all Meta together via Threads - If you get banned or deleted they take you out of everything like a daisy chain. Thousands of people are reporting getting FB/Insta suspended or banned just engaging in Threads - or being suspended for posting anything Twitter, or just for cracking mindless fart jokes, among others.

Threads is already a disaster, with a lot of people pissed they can't delete their accounts without losing ALL of their Meta accounts. It was trickery from jump. Zuckerberg is a shit stain on a bloody mattress.

You should realize by now that a lot of this is theater. It's the old "fake it til you make it" approach. If you were trying to get people to use your new service, would you:

a) Post a few posts by yourself and hope other people are interested enough to join?

b) Create a fake hype and use AI to fill your site with bot signups and bogus conversations to give the false impression of immediate popularity and success?

These large companies are also part of a worldwide cult and they routinely engage in nepotism - that is, they prop themselves up even if they publicly pretend to be competing with each other. You do not want to be a part of that cult...the cost is your soul and forfeiture of eternity.

You don't need any magician to tell you that Thread was a success because of the already established brand name by Meta. Without Facebook and Instagram's success, thread would be in the mud.

I don't think thread Is going to kill twitter, its just another overhyped shit, it gained 100m users in 4 days probably because of its connection to instagram, after that, people became less interested in the app, the user engagements gotten from the initial hype has dropped drastically.
