Tunecore used to be our goto distributor but this year they have come under pressure from Spotify to remove heavily botted songs. They used to never take down anything.

Which distributors are you aware of that are the "safest" and best to use currently?

Don't go anywhere near Ditto Music or if you do tread very warily. Bastards took down one of our bands tracks and then hit us with their general thieving get out clause which said we'd infracted their terms and ironcially took the other songs which hadn't had dodgy streams and we lost over 700K streams. Tread very warily on all of this and keep it down to manageable proportions thats all. Go for Playlist streams if possible and have them spread across the entire playlist if at all possible. That way you might just stay under the limits.

Either way the revenue you will get will be junk and nowhere near full rates. We've tried virtually every service on BHW and none of them provide a service that will give streams at top dollar rates despite what they say

Yes, Ditto is on our banned distributors list too lol.

Some distributors we do NOT use are:
DistroKid
United Masters
Amuse
Ditto
OneRPM

But who is safe???

At the moment he says touching wood and almost everything else..... we're good so far on DistroKid but we keep our promotion well under the radar and our other distro arrangement with Ingrooves which is Universal seems to be OK but again we're very low profile on it

What is your daily average total streams amount would you say?

We try and never put through more than a couple of thousand streams per track per day. I know it's well below the radar but experience and also the pain from losing the revenue on 700K streams was a major kick in the balls

Yeah, I'm thinking 2k is about the right threshold these days. We went over 5k and got removed on Tunecore for the first time ever after about a 45 day campaign. Heartbreaking.

Have you found a good distributor that doesn't ban?

Routenote banned two albums, 1000 - 1500 streams per day.

can you reupload using another provider? can you use the same ISRC / UPC or should you start with new ones?
whats the chances of the new provider having access to another providers 'removed' list?
