Though it is nice you have such a high opinion of this business man's previous work, I was talking about his complete failure at this moment which is not really up for debate; it is a fact.
I am actually more interested in any upcoming social platforms now Musk has killed this one.

Hmmm. Anyone would have written the same thing in 2008 and called it a fact; I mean that everyone knows he was just a PayPal alumni toying with rockets, so he was doomed to fail anyway?
I'm just saying that betting against Elon had historically not worked in the past. And until he quits, you can't call him a failure.
For all we know, his reasons for Twitter limitations are genuine - data scraping is a real threat to any platform.

Depends if twitter will be affiliated by any political party or any agenda pushers. It's really silly to think guy spent so much cash just for fun. Considering its privately owned company with fraction of employees it used to have I wouldn't be surprise any push of agenda in Musk's favor. Not now, maybe not even in a few year. In long term probably yes.

Bluesky is up and coming and I think it has the scope to be the next big thing.
Mastodon and the fediverse unfortunately aren't for your average social media users. For one, they are quite limited currently with their audience, they don't really have any decent recommendation algorithms yet and their audience is mostly just tech-savvy people.
Maybe now that twitter is going to deep shit again, we might see a major exodus of "normal users" tho. Only time will tell.

and also a lot of users are wrong about this rate limit this is temporary and is because the got into an issue with google cloud
rate limiting a social media platform is a stupid idea and even he is aware of it he is just trying to get things back up and running before he removes the restriction or make it more reasonable

There's no content anymore. Just an endless circle jerk of NFT bros and "Patriots" firing off ads and following each other back. Why would users stick around through rate limits that discourage engagement. He's made it much less useful to me and wants me to pay more for the diminished service.
I love SpaceX. This is no 5-dimensional chess though. This is a guy buying a private exho-chamber. I mean hey, it's his money. Whatever floats his boat. Bad for business though.

It's not so much the specific event as the course of his management. Gutting technical staff, cutting out the press who are all Twitter power users and provide much free publicity. Not paying vendors, letting everything shake out in court.
If this is some visionary management shit, it does a great impression of running a corporation into the ground.

There is talk he is doing this because of Macron - they are friends and the French that I know think he is doing this to keep any up to date real coverage from the people in the riots of being posted now that Macron has ordered complete censorship of the riots (which started when the cops shot an unarmed black french guy).
