just google doing their (now common) 5 million updates per week to get rid of everyone who doesn't buy ads from them. Nothing unusual (sarcasm)...

On a serious note, it looks like a google update in the rolling, which means that if you don't automatically recover in the next 2 months or so you'll never recover if you don't fix what google broke for your site.

Whether or not you can, or want to wait for 2 months to see whether google brings you back from the dead it's up to you (some people do wait), but until the update is fully rolled out (which can take 2-3 weeks) I think you shouldn't try anything and just take the loss

But but G said the most important thing for them is to bring value to its users not to push updates in order to make obscene amounts of money from Ads.

I've stopped believing what google say about 12-13 years ago, so this doesn't apply to me
