You negotiate with the admin of the Group/Page and everything will be easier. They will allow you to post or advertise on that group for as little as a cup of coffee

there are some subreddits that still allow it but it's not many. Most of them are now prohibited for self-promotion. The safest way is to advertise on Reddit to reach users on the subreddit.
