What is there, to be afraid of competition or competitors ? Why should there be a fear factor involved ? Unless perhaps the business relates to selling coke, etc. Otherwise the question of being AFRAID of competitors, does not at all arise.
Disclaimer : Here we are not talking about how to handle the competition. Here, we are talking about being AFRAID of competitors.
And "beat your competitor physically in real life" ... Why do that ? Most of us here , do not sell coke, etc, etc, etc.
