I don't understand why someone will delete a google business listing ! Such a great tool for lead gen, even if you have bad review, you can just purchase cheap ones to hide bad quality of service

There are different reasons...
Some just want to restart.
Others no longer run the company and want the entry gone.
Some profiles are destroyed with negative reviews, so the good ones are of no use.
People are also getting smarter and sort the ratings from bad to good

Once you have created a business listing, you can NEVER delete it. Even if you no longer operate the company, you can only mark it as permanently closed. Google is tough on that. For many people it is a big damage if the listing remains forever... :/

Yes. And after deleting you can create a new one.

yes, 100%. you have to make me the owner (i apply for ownership) and after 1-2 days (usually the same day) it disappears from all search results and can no longer be found.

But you can always “change the address” of the business listing. Essentially move it out of the area. My friend moved locations 3 times. Changed his address each time even diff states.

In this case, the business keeps getting removed by Google, even though it is in the correct location. I suspect foul play from another local biz but have no evidence.

unfortunately, deleting single reviews is almost impossible and very unreliable as far as results go.
we offer to take down the entire google my business listing, so the owner can have a fresh start.
