Anyone know what prioritizes a Google review?

Example, you click on a business and it'll show some shitty review from 2-5 months back at the top, but say the company received 15+ new reviews (so supression is out of the question).

I don't think engagement has much to do with it, we've hit like a few times with diff ips, and such. Anyone have any ideas?

It's a complex algorithm that rank the "realness" of the profile.

- Activity of said profile
- number of reviews
- link between ip and location and time of review
- etc.

A real account is very much easier to rank, as they have the map history, they know this person went, etc.

What you can do is upvote with your accounts the reviews you like the most

Well, when it comes to ranking and algorithms you can't really be 100 % sure of anything.

The reviewer account, also the text and photo used for the review play an important role.

after september update and past few major updated I will face the accounts issue. Now the 3 important part is Human text , real deice and IPs and the high quality regular use accounts.
