Confused over redirects

Hey blackhatters,

I'm confused about redirects. Let's say I wanted to redirect someone from an article site to an affiliate product. Certain article directories don't allow this. This is just an example.

My question is, how do I get the site that's supposed to redirect them setup. Do I need a different domain for different markets. Or can I take care of all my redirecting needs from 1 domain with subpages for each redirect.

Would people be able to tell the redirect site is generic and not related to their niche, or is there a way to do it so everything looks good from the customers point of view.

So let's say I wanted to redirect people from several different markets to specific websites within those markets. Would I need a separate domain for each redirect for each or could I do them all from one?

Sorry if this is confusing. I'm confused myself.

If you are just starting out and/or you don't have much money to invest invest in domains, you can start out by just using 1 domain and adding a re-direct to your aff products with by using sub-domains or directories within your domain.

I.e youreviewsite.yourdomain.com or yourdomain.com/yourreviewsite.

With that said, it is not the best way to to it. I recommend you use a targeted domain for each niche.

If you are on a budget, you can always get .infos, or you can just free sites like Blogger to use as your domain.

You also can setup a sub-page or directory running 'till you get your article approved once the article is up make a redirect using .htaccess.

Single Page Redirect
Redirect 301 /oldpage.html http://www.example.com/newpage.html

Entire Site
Redirect 301 / http://www.example.com/
