Hello, just a quick note, I didn't even know proxy's existed 2 weeks ago, so some stuff I may say could be completely wrong. All names used are fake.

I have recently started an agency and we of course use social media to promote, one of them being reddit. At first all was going well, I had about 4-5 accounts running all on a regular Chrome browser and all on the same IP. I would post to these accounts through a python bot I made using PRAW, which also was working great.

One day as I was setting up a new client (Lola) I accidently mixed the photos with another client, (Cora) and this photo of Cora was posted on Lola's account. I was then banned from a network of subreddits for posting someone different, huge shame but ah well, at least its only one account. We then later signed a new client (Sara), I set them up an an account and began posting their photos to the same network I did for the rest. This was a completely different person, different photos and name, but one day I received a 3 day account ban on Sara's account for avoiding a subreddit ban, and a permanent ban on Lola's account where the subreddit ban originally happened. This eventually led to all of the accounts I ran being banned.

I assumed this happened because the IP's were linked, so after this happened I read up on proxy's. bought one from Oxylabs and connected it to the Incognition browser and went again. First I only set up a few accounts all on the same proxy, (I avoided Lola's account) the accounts I had set up had no issue, no one was being banned, I was building accounts back up nicely. I decided to set up Lola's account, after a day of posting, her account gets banned for avoiding a subreddit ban, I did stupidly post in the same network Lola was oringally banned from, so they may have recognised her face and banned her again. Whatever happened, this caused the other accounts to soon follow and they were all banned for 'breaking the rules'. Again, I assume this was because they were all on the same proxy? I'm not sure though because the IP changed every minute or so.

Now to where I'm at now, I thought to get around this I would just need to buy a proxy for each client and set them all up on separate ones, so I did this. When setting them up I made sure to click 'rotating proxy' and 'randomize fingerprint', no clue what the fingerprint one does but thought it wouldn't hurt to click, again, I don't know a lot about this stuff. The first account I made was for our newest client, Rose, she has NEVER had a reddit account before, her name or photos would never have touched reddit as the ones she sent me were recently taken, specifically for reddit. I post two of the photos manually through the Incognition browser, no issues at all for around a week, I then buy two more proxies and set up Lola and Cora, each on separate proxies. I leave the accounts for a few days and today decided to begin posting. First on Lola's, I changed my PRAW bot to post to a completely different set of subreddits, not affiliated at all with the old network of subreddits, the posts were going up fine but after 3 posts, when I tried to search her account by URL (for example - 'https://www.reddit.com/user/Lola' ) I received this message '

Sorry, nobody on Reddit goes by that name.

The person may have been banned or the username is incorrect.'

Same thing then happened to Cora. I thought this may be because I was using the same photos as I was using on the banned accounts, but then the same thing happened to Rose, who again had never been on reddit before. I can still log into the accounts with no issue on the Incognition browser, no message saying the accounts are suspended, just not findable, so I assume I am shadow banned. I'm really unsure why this happened, could it maybe be because I am clicking on the profiles from my real browser and IP? But at the same time if this was the case surely every profile I click on would get banned? Reddit obviously wouldn't have it like that. Another thing to note is that I had no issue posting to Rose's account when it was done manually those two times, it only got banned when I started posting using the bot... can Reddit track what IP I am using the bot with perhaps? But again, if this was the case I am unsure why I had no issue posting on everyone's accounts when I used the first proxy when all of the accounts were under one place.

There's probably a lot of stuff in here that will make you frustrated by how stupid I may have been, but please remember I had never used reddit 3 months ago, and again had never even heard of a proxy 2 weeks ago. I would really appreciate some advice, any would help. Even pointing out any mistakes I made that I wasn't aware of would mean a lot!

Many thanks.

You will need 4g proxies for posting, obviously don't share proxies between accounts. Also your bot/browser are probably fingerprinted, Reddit can detect a lot of things besides ip addresses.

Thank you for your reply, is it possible/do you know of any ways to hide browser fingerprint?

To add, I'm currently running all my bots from Microsoft Edge, I see a lot of people recommending Firefox as it has built in privacy features I believe.

Just tried it again, ran the code from Firefox browser with RFP enabled using Jupyter Lab. Installed Chameleon, CanvasBlocked, Ublock Origin, HTTPS Everywhere and Privacy Badger. Posted to two subreddits over 20 minutes and then '

Shadowbanned again. The only thing I didn't do was use a 4G proxy, I just used a regular Residential Proxy that I already had bought.

Don't used same residential ip for multiple accounts. Use 4g for 2 to 3 accounts and rotate them. I tried making accounts using residential ip, if one account banned the rest are affected or mark also

Use separate IPs for each account. Use an antidetect browser to hide your fingerprint. Dolphin is good.
This is how to do it:
IP 1 -> account 1 - account 1 on dolphin
IP 2 -> account 2 - account 2 on dolphin
Of course, use different email addresses.

Thank you for your reply, I'm using Firefox rn with RFP enabled and a bunch of other extensions I've mentioned above, still got banned. All reddit accounts I make are all on different proxy's and all using different email addresses. The browser I run the bot off is on my regular IP, I haven't messed about with that at all, do you think that might be affecting it?

Hello, thank you for taking the time to reply. I was/am using a different residential proxy for each client, may I ask what a 4g proxy will do compared to a residential one, and why they are recommended?

same problem here, I liked your names btw :)
haha thank you, and yes its very frustrating. The reddit side of our agency has been down for a while unfortunately due to this, and reddit was at one point our biggest source of traffic.

4g proxy known to be used on multiple mobiles, that's why it is not Flagged even if it is used multiple times

Ill let you know if I find a fix :)

twice in this thread you did 3 posts in a row - then 4 posts in a row
mods dont like that. in this thread you made 7 posts in a row
when 2 post like this would have covered it

I've seen a bunch of ads for anti-detect browser
Worth looking into

Update if anyone cares..

I started using Dolphin Anty, made a selenium script not a PRAW script, use a fixed proxy for each account, working well so far.

Appreciate the help from everyone also, a big issue I was having was not warming the accounts up. It helps to post SFW content for around a week and gather around 50 karma, once I do that I start posting NSFW content, this has been working well for me.

Where did you purchase the proxies, and how much did they cost?
