I've had some success building links to my homepage and it kinda worked and my DR is increased a bit.

Do i still need to build links to specific content pages on the website?

Or will having a High DR through homepage links effectively skyrocket the other content pages to the top?

Ideally, you should build 20-30% links to home page and the rest to individual pages.

In your other post you said you have 89 posts. So I'd say you should do great with 10ish guest posts (significant traffic, good DR, low spam score). They should be relevant to your niche though.

Space out those links over 1 month atleast

According to what i've learned both are important. also interlink related pages to pass link juice (PA) to other related pages from your websites.

For remaining 7, pick 7 blog posts that are highly unique from each other. Send 1 link to each post (and also add internal links to relevant posts from these posts)

Since you have a new website, and haven't been building links at all, you should have at least 3-4 days of gap between each guest post (irrespective of whether it's to the same page or a different page).

(That's why I said you should space out all the posts over a month or so)

You can do homepage and Content links in a 40% and a 60% proportion

But build Referral links naturally, create at least 5 to 7 links monthly to make it natural

If you suddenly stop building links google will consider it as a Paid link Buddy

My strategy would be building Guest posts and niche edits

Go with more niche edits and some editorial (DA 80+ and 90+) posts to the home page to gain authority over my client's website

Then build guest posts to the inner pages (Targeting guest posts articles topics around main keywords in terms of relevancy)

After that, I would use PBNs as Tier 2 links to those Guest posts and niche edits links. (That way it increases its link juice)

I agree with you. Around 30% of the links to the homepage are ideal one
