Not saying to avoid. But their business mechanism is like that. They give a good chunk of their profits and business capital as dividend to investors. There is less chance for it to grow as a non dividend stock. You can invest in them for dividend income. I am not sure how your country's taxes for dividends.So we should avoid these?

Not by the typical buy and hold type but if you check on for example big banks reports (as they are the only ones that come to my mind rn) you will see that they barely have a day in the red.
