Hello !
I am interested in getting guest posts from several sites, my question is the following:

What criteria should I use when checking them?

Do the sites necessarily have to have traffic in similarweb semrush or ahrefs ?

If the sites have only DR 10 authority for example and very little traffic in ahrefs is good for a guest post ?

Please tell me what other criteria to look for when checking a site for guest post.

Thank you very much!

no, but it helps if they have traffic because it's an indication that the owner cares about that site... usually...

What criteria should I use when checking them?
you need to make sure that they're not link farms (link farm = site that exists only to sell links, in the form of PBN link, guest posts, niche edits, etc.)

Of course, finding out whether or not these sites are link farms is not easy, and requires you having both SEO knowledge and flair. So, with this I can't help you, you need to develop the skills of assessing the quality of sites yourself :)

But, generally speaking, link farms are sites that meet any, most, or all of these criteria:

- they don't have traffic
- they don't rank in google
- their content is low quality and / or low value
- there is a link to low quality websites on almost every page they have
- their authority (DA, or DR, or whichever metric you want to use) is low (not always true, but sometimes it is)
- they usually look ugly, or like the owner doesn't care about them
- their OBLs (Outbound Links) are usually d0follow (because people buying those links WANT them to be d0follow so they can have link juice passing through into their sites)

If you find sites that tick most of these checkboxes chances are that these sites are link farms and google either already discards the links coming from these sites, or they will discard them soon (soon = anywhere from days to years, depending on your luck and on google's priorities and ability of spotting and flagging these sites)

If the sites have only DR 10 authority for example and very little traffic in ahrefs is good for a guest post ?
if the other checkboxes that I listed above are NOT ticked then yeah, the site is probably worth guest posting on. But again, it's not as simple as 1 +1 = 2, you need to check these things but also use your SEO experience and intuition to figure out whether the site is good or bad.

But the good news is that - even if the site is bad - google will usually not tank your site because you have links from it. Google will usually ignore these links, so it's only a matter of you wasting the money on low quality links that don't help you rank, that's the worst that can happen most of the time.

Now, if someone reports that site to google for selling links and google decides to look into this and / or manually penalize the site.... in this case your site might get de-ranked or even de-indexed, too. These things did happen in the past (and they probably still happen today, as well), but these cases are usually rare (you find maybe 1 such cases every few millions.... or maybe every 100s of 1000s of sites, so you're pretty safe in general)

My website is adult, can you help me to create links on good sites ? If so, please leave me an email address to discuss in more detail.

Chances are next to none that a good site would like to link back to your adult site. You have to find similar blogs in adult industry those are interested in selling guest posts. Or try finding any seller on BHW specializing in adult backlinks.

Please tell me what other criteria to look for when checking a site for guest post.
The problem here is not the criteria. The problem is the price. How can you know which price is right for all matching criteria sites?

Most of the times, only a good experience on this topic would help you identifiying right prices. Personally I analyze like 70-80 GP sites on a weekly basis. So in the beginning you will start just by analzying a couple, and benchmarking. Like @tazarbm has suggested, you must inform yourself on which factors are relevant and which aren't. You have to learn to value those elements. And from there, you will be able to start benchmarking sites and comparing with other sites.

I find kind of difficult, if not impossible, to explain in a single post a whole framework for adequate valuation.

you're welcome!
I can't help you with backlinks, I'm not offering backlinking services :)

Have a look around the marketplace, I'm sure you'll find a lot of offers:

To choose the guest posts for ranking your sites, traffic must be analyzed.

Check whether it is properly optimized, has links indexed, has traffic, earns google's trust and ranks on the SERP.

You should need to think about both the site's metrics and how much traffic that the sites have an important. Additionally, you may sure to choose the sites that are related to your niche as well.

Hello,

We are using guest post sites to get quality backlinks but people are suing PBN with guest post sites which reduce the quality traffic so, I would like to suggest the PR sites or news sites to acquire high authority backlink or quality traffic you may use ahref to check the traffic here are few trending PR sites like outlookindia, mid-day, theweek, livemint and so on.

Please mail me here [email protected] , If you have any question about these sites.

Thank you!

I'll add a little of this discussion
DR can be easily manipulated. Here's a recent experiment: LI

you should consider DA, traffic, target audience, and content quality. Also look at social media presence, engagement, and reputation.

A DR of 10 and little traffic is not necessarily a bad thing but consider the other factors as well.

Thank you all for your answers. You are wonderful! :)

A3. Yes It's good enough.

I hope you get all the answers.

Q1. What criteria should I use when checking them?

A1. Inward Traffic per month, Organic Traffic, Domain Rating, Domain Authority, Page Authority

Q2. Do the sites necessarily have to have traffic in similarweb semrush or ahrefs ?

A2. Yes. You don’t want to link out of pages that no one visits or it will be a pure waste of your hard earned money.

Q3. If the sites have only DR 10 authority for example and very little traffic in ahrefs is good for a guest post ?

A3. I won’t say it’s good enough.

Most important is what topic is the site about, how much traffic its getting and for what keywords.
Use semrush to find our all this data.
Avoid garbage news sites, general sites, they are all link farms.

Here is an example of sites to avoid.
It looks like a news sites or general site with all kinds of category.
It says 50k per month traffic.
But when you look in semrush what its actually ranking for is garbage keywords like:
most famous selfie

i have a gambling and my target is in Vietnam, there is any problem if i get backlinks from other countries (different Vietnamese)

Listen DA DR in not very necessary for look in. Anyone can manipulate this. keep in eyes on organic traffic and what the niche. If website comes a cross amount of traffic a daily month you can choose the site for guest post.

What criteria should I use when checking them?
First relevancy with your website, then outbound links, ranking keywords, traffic, and that website backlink profile

Do the sites necessarily have to have traffic in similarweb semrush or ahrefs ?
Yes, traffic is must, if that site cant rank themself then how they will boost your website.

If the sites have only DR 10 authority for example and very little traffic in ahrefs is good for a guest post ?
yes, if that is related to your niche, you can get link from low-authority websites as well. just make sure that you pay accordingly.

Please tell me what other criteria to look for when checking a site for guest post.
always check outbound of that website, make sure you are not buying links from link farms.

first check their linking domains , if the domains are coming like redirects ignore these kinds of links .
