Guests could post before?

So i was scrolling through older threads looking to revive some gem mines if possible and found out that guests could post before, and thought this is a good feature but would be abused by spammers, etc...

I think we should have a feature in place that the first 10 posts of a new member should pass mod review before it gets posted, that would help gets rid of spam entirely, but I see also it will requires resources on their part (more jobs for Mods).

At that time, the forum was built on a different forum platform. BHW upgraded to Xenforo a couple years ago & to BHW 2.0 back in 2020.

It's presently being worked on and we do not currently have an ETA.

Our staff wants things to be as efficient as possible, so when it's completed with an ETA in mind, a thread will be created with an announcement most likely.

I believe that it was once built on vBulletin. Aside from certain minor things, I believe Xenforo to be far superior. At least, for BHW purposes.

Vbulletin is bad compared to xenforo is best and for wp, wp foro is good if you need weird features

As far as I understand it, they have custom features and BHW is built upon the framework.

VBulletin was good for the time. Great for the time. I enjoyed it briefly.

I loved BuddyPress when I made some membership/forum based websites for local clientele. Xenforo is great. I enjoy using it, personally.
