I can share one trick to boost the views.
First you need to understand the Youtube algorithm. To make it short, the more views and engagement you have, the more probability Youtube will show your short to people. In fact, almost all the social networks algorithm work like this.

So the trick is this one:

1. Before to publish your short, prepare a newsletter and a post to your other social accounts.
2. Then publish the short
3. Get it url to share
4. Paste the url in your newlsetter and your posts
5. Send your newsletter and your posts.

By doing this, you will artificaly stimulate the Youtube algorithm on your short and may boost the views.

No, I had the links pinned in comments which I removed and did not add again. im pretty sure you can still put them in the description but use a link shortener and make sure its not links to something phishy

I think video quality can have influence. Also you need few starting followers for YouTube to start determining, someone must run your video, and check engagement that they had / did they replay it more than once?

Yeah but he has 0 views so youtube cant calculate engagement etc.. Unless the video is against guidelines then my opinion is its probably a shadowban.

Okay so I have a pretty good update for you all, I was shadowbanned about 5 days ago.. I have been chatting to youtube support everyday and they keep refusing that shadow ban is a real thing, but.... I guess since I apologised and have been talking to them so much they removed the sahdowban? Because after a long conversation with support yesterday she told me "check in 24 hours" and yep 24 hours past and my hourly views went from 10 to 15k+ so obvs they did something without wanting to admit it.

Moral of the story, nag support until they fix it.

its either the gmail you used is low quality, buy from another supplier, or the video you uploaded is too similar to a video already detected as spam, so make a new video more unique, by changing the background, speed....
experiment with multiple channel until you have the answers.
