AI generated content should be labelled, EU Commissioner Jourova says

Companies deploying generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Bard with the potential to generate disinformation should label such content as part of their efforts to combat fake news, European Commission deputy head Vera Jourova said on Monday.

Its discrimination at its highest! I would rather read Ai content that someone whos Switz! LOL sorry, had to discriminate against someone to illustrate my point! I love cheese and offshore bank accounts I promise! ;)

But yeah, rights for robots, they should be able to fit in alongside and compliment the humans to make money. We're still doing all the bloody work. Maybe when we can walk up in the morning and say
"ChatGPT please work for 10 hours today, and make $100 an hour with a guaranteed method from blackhatworld, and send a text to my mobile with a daily amount update till you finish your 10 hours"

Then ok, we would have an argument for saying its text by ai! lol

Only one I know who is Swiss is the Fish. I´m sure he likes cheese too.

Talk about jumping on the bandwagon and wanting a news sound bite to get your name out there again!

I would like to see how they propose policing that. Idiot.

I definitely agree with Mrs. Jourova. AI content is a multi-level copyright infringement. With code, for example, the use of licensed non-attributed algorithms has become blatant. With content is less obvious, but with some of the latest plagiarism tools it's possible to see some plagiarized snippets already, which may be perfectioned over the time, to uncover the exact plagiarism that AI content is developing. Noone will care in the US, but in the EU, this will be ruled for sure anytime soon. AI is currently not that amazing as we believe, I don't know how it will evolve, though, but current output should be labeled (at least by major players, us tiny BH f***ers won't be labelling a s**t as we never had :p)

I guess it concerns the chat feature where AI automatically answers without human supervision.

I guess it should be all good for blogging as long as you proofread the content.

Regarding the article... they might have been chasing "misinformation" but no, they are chasing "fake news"... what do you think "fake news" mean when it's coming from a EU commissionner?

If AI generates unique content, who is going to prove that I didn't think of it myself?

lol really good article clickbait.
how to monetize ai?
make you own customer model for your work
create software utilizing it and sell it, etc2
but seem the most popular is, spread the fear of ai. and the irony when the one making this is using ai to make it

There always being disinformation before and after AI content did they do something to avoid disinformation before AI no, they will fix it after doing this the answer is no again, there is jsut a bunch of people bored with no idea about what they are doing and blame anything to look smart or that they are doing something useful being said that disinformation will continue if that is approved lol

Its impossible. You cant detect ai content. Period.

What you can do is detect tom belfort content by fine tuning a detector model on all my content or detect gpt4 by doing the same. But you cant detect if changes are made or a model is fine tuned. Or a custom model

Fake news came loooooong before AI existed - fake news are as old as we are.

Yes, and people have started following the same. There are a lot many news, jobs and finance websites which have started labelling the content and trust me, I automatically lost my interest while reading it.

These politicians and beurocrates they don't even understand the basics of ai let alone whats going on with ai.

Chatgpt is implementing self correcting algo that will self-correct chatgpt to progressively produce more factually accurate content,
It's like a reward system, more factual more rewards for chatgpt.
No that's an ai training model worth mentioning.

I wouldn't be against inserting a <meta> tag indicating it's AI content

There is no "AI content". AI simply regurgitates opinions. So you're always reading someone's opinion. It just doesn't come with the source and author.

A wise man once said "Make only those rules that you can enforce". If you don't have a system of checking accurately what is AI content and what is not, then how will you enforce the rule.

btw, that wise man was myself
