Hello, we are a media company that creates articles and that drives traffic mostly from big facebook pages.

We still had classic pages. We never upgraded to the new page experience.

3 days ago, Facebook automatically upgraded all of our pages to the New Page Experience.

Since then, our organic reach collapsed.

For an exemple, on most of our pages, when we posted a viral article, it got around 30000 link clicks.

Now, the same viral article will get 1000 link clicks.

Before an article would reach around 200000 people, now: 15000 people.

All this because of the New Page Experience. As anyone experience something like this?

Thank you

That's really very strange.
I would observe it for the time being. But there's nothing else you can do.

Thats Facebook :D

Facebook wants you to pay.You have zero control on that platform, always get traffic to your own sites.

With Facebook currently they are having many updates, to continue to add more and faster almost we have to spend money to promote

Facebook they are updating all Pages (from classic -> new page).

The reach of the new page is extremely low. I think FB will pull them all into a game called FB ADVERTISING.

It's something no one wants, but we still have to accept it because it's their foundation and we have to follow it.

There's probably some workaround on it? Maybe? If not then there's only hoping this is only an experimental thing and will be removed or remade to something better at some point.

This is a common problem and new pages can no longer be converted to classic

The reach dropped on the dot on April 1ste this year. Some of my pages were still classic and still everything dropped, so I doubt it's only about the new page exp.
But major pages are also affected.

This shouldn't be happening. Maybe you could talk to Facebook support about it.

Yeah Facebook support is the way to go... All there workers there are bots that copy/paste , if you even are able to get someone to talk to.

The reach keeps dropping every year. Just invest a part of your income into growing pages and you can keep up with the pace that way. Also, build email lists

We spend 100/200k last year in building pages, so you could say we invest in back. And of course reach drops every year we are aware, but a 90/95% drop is just not good. If you invest that kind of money in building pages and fb cut's the reach completely , well for me that's kinda like stealing.
