Can Wi-Fi link Facebook profiles?

So I personally use only one Facebook profile with my Wi-Fi network. I have another individual who lives with me and also uses the same Wi-Fi and also has Facebook.
In case my or the other individual's account gets restricted, will that affect both accounts? I'm talking about two legit personal accounts.

It will not.
Think of schools. public wifiis, workplaces etc

If you're connecting to the same Wifi/IP, and one account gets in trouble, then yes, the other account could potentially have issues.

They absolutely keep track of that sort of thing.

Facebook 100% logs your IP and associates it with other devices using the same IP. Whether or not they will ban an account based on IP alone is a different story. I would guess no.

That's true, but only me and this person are using my home Wi-Fi. So I'm afraid that it's probably linkable.
No, Wi-Fi cannot directly link Facebook profiles. Wi-Fi is a wireless networking technology that enables devices to connect to the internet, while Facebook profiles are individual accounts on the Facebook social media platform. Wi-Fi provides the means for devices to access online services like Facebook, but it does not have the capability to directly link or connect specific Facebook profiles.
It does make sense, but it seems that Wi-Fi is a thing with linking profiles, if it wasn't then people who run several profiles to farm/ use for ads wouldn't use proxies. In my case there are only two people who connect to that wifi so it will be easy to link (in my opinion), it's not like a public network, in my case it's obvious that these are two profiles of probably related people.

Yeah, I was afraid that that's the case. It just seems counterintuitive for people who live in the same house to mask their IP from Facebook like they're doing something wrong.

Yes, sounds logical. I guess I will just have to live and see.
What would you do if you had a family member or a roommate with a business that are also using fb just like you. Would you mask your IP or not?

I actually don't see it that way at all.

If you're hiding your IP, then you most likely are doing something wrong.

That being said, a lot of people end up with account issues in naive attempts at hiding their IP as well, which is also something that could put your roommate's account at risk, especially since you don't seem to know much about the topic.

You're probably better off not risking your "family member's or roommate's" business at all.

You haven't mentioned what you're doing or your reason for doing it, but based upon your fear of account limitation (which would infer that you want to do something nefarious), the risk of your family member's business, and the limited context which you've provided, I'd probably say it doesn't seem like a good idea, and perhaps even silly/selfish. lol.

My roommate runs a white hat business that's still pretty risky since it's in the health industry. I'm running ads for local businesses (also WH ads only). So his account is more likely to get restricted than mine. I'm not sure what should I do in this situation. We already used the same IP so maybe it's already too late if something happens.

yeah they will get connected as they are in the same IP range.
use proxies for business accounts

If the accounts used the same IP but then one of them stopped using this IP completely. Then there is no longer a connection between them in case of a restriction happens to one of them, right?

ip ranges are what connects your account. not exactly the same ip, but the ip in ranges

Technically, those ips will be related and can be deducted by the ip ranges the isp gives them, so it's possible to relate them to spam activity even if you don't have/use the same ips

I see but what if me and the person who lives with me used the same exact IP (for example IP-1), now this person uses a new IP with another ISP and I keep using this IP (IP-1). Will account restrictions still affect both accounts in case they happen?

Just by itself, it's not used as the only factor to determine whether or not two account will be linked.

Probably yes
