I put an active link to t.me/mychannel in my tiktok profile. When users click on it, tiktok opens a page with the name of my telegram channel and a "open channel in telegram" button. When I click on it, a message pops up about some kind of error and that the action cannot be performed.

I have checked profiles of other people with t.me domain in it and found that some of them work just fine and tiktok opens telegram app without problems and other people have the same problem as me when tiktok does not open telegram app.

What could be the reason? Any chance to fix it?

TikTok have own internal browser :)
Same way they cut links from instagram profiles.
No way, try with different TG acc

Thanks for the answer! I knew they had their own browser, but I can't figure out why some t.me links work in it and others don't. Is it random or is it some kind of filter?

I've tried different types of links: private with invite link and public, but they still don't work. Maybe there is some moderation for telegram links, but I have seen private links that work (and I doubt that tiktok moderators subscribe to telegram channels to check them), and there are also non-working links to safe white public channels .

It doesn't make any sense. I thought getting views and subscribers was the hardest part, but now I'm not so sure :)

Make sure tele is updated to latest version before sharing your link :)
This is the main reason. (just go app store and see if there is the option to update)

Also try clearing telegram cache.
Settings -> Data and Storage -> Storage Usage -> Clear entire cache

Hope this helps.

Everything is updated. To be honest, I don't understand how updating the Telegram app on my phone can affect the tiktok browser on all other people's phones all over the world.
