What's Going On With The Forum???

i just found out my old account (The Scarlet Pimp) is no longer active.
it said my password is wrong.

was the board hacked again? or were the recent changes to blame? :yell:

i emailed support but haven't heard back... hope i don't have to start all over again.

Your security might have been compromised. You could have downloaded a keylogger / phiser or something from the download section.
Or you had an easy password someone bruteforced, etc etc..

Lots of possibilities, and seeing as no1 else have whined on forum...
My guess is the database is still secure, your system as iv'e said, might not be.

that occurred to me too. but since i use linux i usually don't worry too much about keyloggers or phisher attacks since it's harder to get to than a windows setup. a brute-force is more likely.

so... how do i get my old account back??? still haven't heard from support.

i downloaded the mailjacker program to mess around with, i hope that wasn't it.

i didn't see anything in the code...

whew!!! it's okay! luckily i wasn't hacked. i just checked and somehow my browser files (cookies) got corrupted, and my comp was sending the wrong login data.

can a mod delete the 'ripoff' account?

WTF... all websites with memberships, paid or not paid have a password recovery function. useless account you opened or you gave a throwaway email when registering? if that was the case... your bad.

i only made the backup 'cuz i couldn't get in with my regular account.
also, multi-accounts are not permitted here...

Hey man, it happens to the best of us. Sometimes you just have to go out and see the big world for what it really is...EVIL...but no worries, once you get back on you will be able to hideaway in your corner room with no windows. At least thats what I do...
