Domain.com is top of the search results.
Domain com is nowhere to be found

sitemap_index.xml (from yoast seo) shows discovered pages 0, however post_sitemap.xml shows 200+ posts in the Google WMT

Then your domain, after my own experience, is on the penalty from Google.
The sitemap_index.xml is the main trick to see if your domain has an issue with Google or not.
If sitemap_index.xml was showing Discovery +1 and blank when you click on it, then it was a sandbox, but if it is showing Discovery 0 is a penalty.
I'm saying this from my own experience; if someone else tested this and can validate it, let me know.

The thing is that I probably bought the domain like this, considering I've only added quality content since I started the website and nothing more. I will probably change it and see what happens in a couple of months after that. I'll probably drip feed the same content on the new domain in a few months.

About this issue is recent, i started 5 new blogs, and all 5 happen at the start, they started getting the impression from Google Search, and after max 2 weeks, the impression dropped to 0, and sitemap_index.xml inside is blank, and searching Google domain com is not anymore.
But in the start was all good, is weird 5 new blog projects happen the same issue.
2 Domains are old 6+ years and 3 Domains are new and have the same issue.
Im not sure what Google did, but after my own experience is impossible now to start a new blog.
Im not sure if you buy strong backlinks can fix this issue (Didn't test it)

Have you tested the new ones to see if they had any history ? I thought I have bought a new domain but after running it through this https://whoisrequest.com/history/ i saw it was expired 4 times before i bought it.

The new ones were never used, but the old domains were used.

Damn, I woke up today to another 15 deindexed articles ...... there must be some penalty....I am beginning to seriously believe there is something wrong with the domain.

My website has 200+ posts and almost no posts in google. People can't find the posts.
