Why you should never use Adsterra

How can you cloak ads from google and bing can you help me?
I already answered this in this thread, but I used the cloaker FinalCloak and some custom php code. The other reply had more details. If you need help setting it up you can PM me

I already did , they said to contact them in two weeks to see the issue.. They say that they found a problem with my traffic , the issue is my traffic is 100% real or else i won't be complaining

That's fucked up
I second this.

They are dog sh*t.

Never, ever work with them.
Good thing we were big, pulling 300$+ a day of revenue, thei let us withdraw our money, but we had to do it trickily, we just warned them to stop showing other ad types on our site and they did, we had to wait for them to withdraw the money only then did we delete their ads from our site since we feared they wouldn't let us withdraw like 5k$+ otherwise.

It's generally not recommended to use Final Cloak on site as it can lead to a poor user experience for your audience. Moreover, adsterra had been very poor past year base on users reviews and my own experiance, im not recommend to use their ads, try to find other alternatives.

I runned a big manga site 100k+ visiotrs a day, used their banner ads, those scums sniffed in pop ads and many other ad types into our site and made them not show up for our ip adresses only when our visitors told us few days ago did we find out, they are one of worste networks, don't use them
I had the same issue with Adsterra. They injected Pop-Under Ads and many annoying ads. I lost more than 20K visitors in just a week. until I checked my site from another IP address/Country.
Do not use them! Adsterra, Galaksion
They often try to contact you by commenting on your site or chat to you on social media page or even email. They said they can offer high CPM ads revenue, Do not fall for it. It will destroy your site.

I had issues with Galaksion. They injected Site-Button Ads on my site. And their Pop-Under Ads is trying to install an APK file to visitor's device.
My experiences working with them was really bad.
I just want share this. Hope it helps someone

I've mentioned this in a few threads before - we've tested out many ad networks, but it seems like almost everyone only uses these three. Pirate sites don't have many options, so Adstera pays the highest CPM. However, many people complain that their site can be marked as malware by Google, and I've had a few sites that tanked a few years ago because of this issue. Therefore, I would advise staying away from Adstera.

On the other hand, Propeller pays well and on time, so we still use them. However, there are a few things that I don't like about them. For example, when you tell them that you don't want pornographic ads, they'll disable them at first, but then start showing them again after a few weeks or months. So, you need to repeat your request every time you notice them. Also, their response time can be slow, taking a few hours or even days. Another issue we had with Propeller is that after a few years of using them, they asked for account verification.

As for Galaksion, we've been working with them for three years now, and we've never had a single problem. The manager we have is awesome and responds almost immediately whenever we need some modifications. Payments are always on time and never late.

There are many other networks out there that are pure scams or operate like pyramids. Some of them may work well at first, but after some time, the CPM can drop drastically, even if you have the same amount of traffic. They will buy time by saying things like, "we have some problems, but from tomorrow, everything will be fine."

But let me reiterate, even though we may complain as much as we want, most people who use these ad networks have illegal sites or at least gray ones. So, we should be happy with the money we have made.

Depend from the traffic is it organic or direct, for organic if you have a lot of traffic you can get fixed cpm once we had 3$ now when our traffic is mostly direct we get 1-1.4$ for pop ups. Propeller have the best push notification, right now im using only that one. While using galaksion pop ups.

This is so stupid ... Today i found out that they banned my account without even sending me an email or nothing

"Your account is no longer active. Learn more
We noticed some activity in this account that is inconsistent with our Terms and Conditions, and we no longer offer you Adsterra services.
Any funds you had in your account balance have been returned to our Advertisers and are not available for payout.

I diden't do anything wrong but yet they banned my account , it's very weird..
hmm interesting, thanks for sharing

Hie @Chipicao Do you offer affiliate mentorship

I have been using Adsterra and they have paid me a few thousands without any problem. I have noticed my traffic from search engines decreased a lot after I started using them, but I fixed this by cloaking the ads from google and bing crawlers, while still showing them to real users. I am only using Adsterra for spam sites though, where user experience isn't important.

Sometimes their domains get flagged as having malware by VirusTotal, but you can ask for a different cleaner domain from your manager.
Curious what list of Google/Bing crawler IPs you're using and if they're kept up to date.
I noticed about 30% drop in traffic after putting Adsterra on a couple of my sites as well.

Their support was always friendly and I've been paid a couple of times, they even offered to bump me up to weekly payouts but I also ran into the issue where I selected no adult ads on one of the sites but the adult ads still showed.

I told support and they said they would fix it but a short while later, the adult ads were back.

I used a cloaker called Finalcloak: it lets you run some code if the visitor to the site is a real user. I created some code that creates a new cookie/session variable. This way if a real person visits my site, that cookie will exist; if it is a search crawler, it won't. Then in the part where you insert your advertising codes, I only add them if that cookie exists.
Interesting, but Google crawls with headless browsers and can pass cookies around. How did you get around that?

How was the adult ads payout on Propeller Ads vs Adstera? Hear pretty mixed things about Propeller as well.

I am using FinalCloak to detect them, it updates the list of IPs in real-time and also uses other methods to detect crawlers.

That is not a problem, I only create a cookie after detecting that the user is real. If the user isn't a real person, no cookie is created: I then just check if that cookie was created and show my ads accordingly

Thanks for the info. So you use some kind of browser fingerprinting API or something to first check it's not a crawler?

No, that is what finalcloak is for: it checks if it is a crawler then either redirects to a new page or runs your custom php code
